Just like the world changed after 9/11, I hope this incident will bring some changes in our Inidan system after paying such a heavy price which can't be forgotten easily.

Life goes on.

There is no point in cynicism and defeatist attitudes.

Yes we ought to expect a lot of change in the attitude of politicians, a better security system, a heightened search to bring such terrorists to justice and minimize the terror movement.

But, the important thing is that we live, we learn and we move on. Sure the New York skyline is changed forever, the heart of the city still remains. People still visit, invest and live. Same with Bombay, Same with Bombay, except so far the skyline is intact.

I agree with you. It is true that Indian Government loves playing the "Blame Game", they never take the responsibility which only leaves the citizens wondering, "Who is accountable for this?".
In the past one year, there have been so many Terrorist attacks on India, but the culprits have been caught only once or twice. This makes India so vulnerable in terms of security. When a normal person comes out of his house, he should be able to do so without the fear of his head getting blown off at any moment or he being taken as hostage by a group of fanatic terrorists.
Our government needs to wake up and smell the coffee, They are just so busy playing political mind games with eachother and trying to save their so-called "Kursi", that they forget that they are there because of the citizens.

A "department of homeland security" was formed in the US after 9/11. Perhaps a similar such new hogwash will be formed in N. Delhi. Call it the Ministry of combating terrorism folks?😆😆😆

After 9/11 the world was ready to help the U.S in whatever way the U.S. saw fit. Unfortunately the U.S. blew that captive workdwide audience and sympathy by stupidly attacking Iraq. I hope the Indian government which is in a similar postition today uses this advantage wisely. A total worldwide sanction against Pakistan would prove more powerful than war and bloodshed. A Pakistan suffering in total isolation without any diplomatic ties would be the most powerful weapon against that country and the terrorists. The isolation should include a total ban on oveseas visas for all its people, and any exports and imports to and from that country.
Maybe then the citizens of that country will wake up and smell the kabobs and start eating its corrupt government as substitute for kabobs. Pakistan's only export "terrorism" needs to be dealt with very firmly and strongly. I hope the future President Obama stops pussy footing aroung this issue. Gen Musharaf was paid a ton of U.S. tax payer money to deal with the terrorists and all he did was send that money to his private Swiss Accounts. That guy didn't even thank us U.S. Tax Payers. Damn!!!!

Please don't even suggest such a thing. This agency will give more corrupt Indian Politicians an opportunity to financially screw both the terrorists and the poor Indian Citizens. It will be the Department that has been given carte blanche to eat the cake and have it too. It will be a department that eats, burps and farts then goes......😲huh! oh we were attacked duh huh!!!😲😃
Keep all the Patils and other Maharashtrians out of politics, and send them to fight the terrorists instead under the command of General Raj Thakarey assisted by his lieutenant Bal Thakrey and all the other Marathamanus. Vilasrao Deshmukh should start to earn an honest living in Bollywood with his very talented son.😡😡😡

BT,
I really said that in jest. One does not give the esttablishment so much credit for their intelligence to actually take action. Things will return to normal for a few days, and then go back to the next incident. N. Delhi and Gawhati were previous examples😉.
Perhaps if the bureaucracy is not strong enough to protect the citizens of the country, all the people should bear their own arms😛😃😳.
here in the US all people need to bear arms is a license. Then stay within the law, else there is enough law for crimes😊
BTW, Gowri, where are you? We'd like to hear from you!!!😎
