I agree with Shadowkisses, Bella didn't have vampire 'super powers' when she was a vampire.

I think because.. she has a power of shielding herself including her mind... so before becoming a vamp the shield was there and it protected her mind from Edward.. and after becoming a Vamp.. .she could still protect her mind including herself.. and also anyone else she could... that is why her mind is a mystery to Edward.

Wow i must say that there has been a lot goign round here.....im starting to think this is becaus eof lack of co-operation and detail from SMeyer...im not dissing her..she is a good author...but then agen is she??? So many loss ends untied and loop holes....hmm....

i dont think there is anythig wrong everything is so clear. well the mind sheild is a special thing bella has there is no specific reason why she has it. and the reason why alice's and jasper's powers work on her because they are not dependent on her mind. i feel alice's power depends on the mind but edward says it doesnt depend. i hope someone wud clear this doubt.
