RAM GITA
we all know about bhagwat gita.
The sacred book containing such knowledges in 575 verses or texts out of a total of 700 verses divided into 18 chapters including - 81 of Arjuna, 43 of Sanjay and 1 of king Dhritarastra. The word Gita is derived from the Sanskrit word "Geet" meaning songs that had been sung. Hence there are many types of Gitas that have been known - such as the Ram Gita, Gopi Gita, Udhava Gita, Bhramara Gita, Bikhu Gita etc.Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is the divine words or message spoken or given by Lord Krishna to His companion - devotee of the Dwapura Yuga, Arguna just before the commencement of the great epic Mahabharata War that had taken place at Kurukeshetra between the Kauravas and Pandavas. There is another Gita known as Ram gita, composed by Same author VED VYASH. The text, popularly known as Sri Rama-Gita, is also often described as sruti-sara-sangraha, a brief summary of the very essence of all the Vedas. just like in Bhagwat gita Lord Krishna spoke to his companion Arjun in Ram Gita Lord Ram spoke to lakshman. In is a part of ADHYATMA RAMAYAN which is further a part of Brahmanand puran. The fifth adhyaya(chapter) of the uttara kanda of adhyatma ramayan is a conversation between Lord Rama and his brother, Lakshmana and is called RAM GITA. It is very interesting to read

Some of the examples given by Lord Rama in RAM GITA are very nice.

1. A frog is being swallowed by a snake. Even though it knows that it is going to be dead in a few moments, the frog puts out its tongue in the hope it will catch some insects. Similarly, man is being swallowed by the serpent of Time, but he is still running after transitory sense pleasures instead of remembering Me.

2. A dog bites a dry bone thinking that there is some meat there. It goes on biting the bone that blood starts to flow from its mouth. The stupid dog, however, thinks that the blood is from the meat of the bone and bites more and more at it. Similarly, man foolishly thinks that happiness lies in external objects and hankers after that. This results in wastage of the body and mind. Instead, if he leaves the bone alone, he will find happiness within.

These are few examples

thanks for posting this.👍🏼 'Ram-Gita' is very profound and knowledgeable just like Bhagavad gita. The narration of Ram-gita is written by Rishi Vedavyas.......it also narrates that Lord Shiva explaining to mother Parvati ,the life of Shri Rama and his life after Sita had been exiled and how he earned the title of 'Rajarishi'.
