Prachee delivers a baby girl - Article

November 5 was an important day in the lives of Prachee Shah and her husband Vishwaas Paandya.

That was the day the couple held their baby girl for the first time in their arms. Yes, the couple have become parents for the first time and like Prachee says, 'it's a new chapter' in their lives. It was a normal delivery and mother and daughter are doing fine. Prachee excitedly tells us that the baby looks just like her, dimples et al! "I wanted a baby girl so I'm very happy. Also, there has been no girl in Vishwaas' family for the past eight generations," she says.

Vishwaas, of course, is thrilled at the prospect of becoming a father. "It still hasn't registered till now," he says and adds that he's looking forward to the whole business of diaper-changing, "I guess I'm overjoyed because I have another Prachee now," he adds with a laugh. One thing they're sure of is that their baby girl will be pampered thoroughly by both the families. "They're already calling her princess," Vishwaas informs proudly.

And since the mother is a kathak dancer, does she harbour plans of teaching dance to her daughter as well? "One thing is for sure, I will ensure that she gets basic training of Indian classical music. Learning an art lends a certain discipline to one's life. Then whether she pursues it later in life or not is upto her," she says.

The actress, who had been working in Kayamath till her seventh month, says that it's a coincidence that while she's on a break, the TV industry is on a break too. "So I'm not feeling so bad about sitting at home," she laughs. Prachee plans to get back to dance in another two months time. "Then I will also think of getting back to acting. Ideally, I would like to host a show or do a weekly," she says. Till then, it's baby time for her!
