Debojit totally did not deserve a history for his performance because his diction was all over the place. He will have a serious problem as a playback singer or a performer if he does not work very hard on it.

It is nor only ?r? which is not the problem but several words. Like in the start he sang instead of Hairaan, he said HERAN and many many words were killed.

I agree that he did put a lot of emotions but he also took a few un-called harkats and over cooked a simple and beautiful composition.

He did not deserve History in my opinion and I appologise to his fans if they felt bad about my comments. Infact today I felt Soumen deserved History as he sung beautifully. Specially when the composition is a difficult one to sing on a live show.

I think the judges need to buck-up. What do you guys think of Debo's performance today ?

Hmmm Debo was fine sur and emotion but his diction is a big problem, I agree here with RA. The guy who deserved best score (ofcourse which is not history and hence othes should settle down for even less) is Zaheer: ghar aaja mahi I havent heard the song before but his sur was on spot, going by the swara he was touching this song is possibly on raag puria dhaneshree and only trained singers can hit these notes correctly. Soumen was fine but not as good as Zaheer, yashita picked up surmai ankhiyo me based on raag misra piloo and went flat at several places where Yesudas has infused emotions.

About others like Sara, Vaishali: they were fine and would settle for hit on my scale. Tarun for poor and Asma very poor.

I will translate to Varshadi's oh well. After Amanat Ali sings this song. No body should attempt this unless they are 200% confident. Debojeet tried but its only a good attempt but no cigar.
