2005, it seems, has been a year of love, at least as far as Bollywood is concerned. And many of these bondings will fructify into nuptial knots by the end of this year or early next.

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao The most talked about filmi marriage. Rabble rouser that he is, the revelation of Aamir's ties with Kiran, after ending his marriage with Reena, created quite a furore in the film industry. The couple plan to marry on January 1, 2006, in Panchgani, where they fell in love. Aamir has booked en entire hotel at Panchgani for the event, which would be attended by who's who of film industry.

Kiran, for those who don't know, is Ashutosh Gowariker's first assistant, and has assisted him in films like Lagaan and Swades.

Shayan Munshi and Peeya Rai Choudhury

After three years of courtship, model-actor Shayan Munshi and Peeya Rai Choudhary are ready to take their vows this month. Refusing to speak about the event, Peeya insisted it was a special moment. She didn't want to spoil it by talking about it. She is even reluctant to divulge the date. The two met through common friends, and have even guest-starred in My Brother...Nikhil together. Shayan is better known for his other film, Jhankaar Beats. He is the son of Kolkata-based eye surgeon P K Munshi. Chances are, after a private wedding in Mumbai, there will be some festivities at Shayan's native place as well.

Fardeen Khan and Natasha Madhvani

After cousin Zayed Khan tied the knot on November 18, it's time for Fardeen to follow suit. It goes without saying that lavishness will be the name of the game at the wedding of the elder daughter of yesteryear actress Mumtaz and UK-based business tycoon Mayur Madhvani. The rituals will begin on December 13, and continue up to the wedding date, December 16.

Riddhima Kapoor and Bharat Sahni

Marriage for Riddhima Kapoor, effervescent daughter of yesteryear screen darlings Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, will mean snapping ties with Mumbai. She is to marry her Delhi-based beau Bharat Sahni in January. Riddhima has been to Delhi quite often, although settling there will be a different proposition altogether.

Given the Kapoor's status in Bollywood, the crme de la crme of the film industry is sure to throng the function.
