Tusshar Kapoor is excited about the fact that his career is finally on the right track With the imminent release of Golmaal Returns, the actor is looking forward to more comedies now. "We are planning the sequel to Kya Kool Hai Hum. Rohit Shetty will be directing it. The film will have Riteish (Deshmukh) and me in the lead but we have not decided on the girls as yet," he reveals.
The actor, who played a hilariously dumb character in Golmaal, says he had difficulty in doing the sequel. "Nobody understood what I said in the first part. In the sequel I had to explain more animatedly. I became more frustrated. I improvised a lot during the dubbing. I owe a lot to my trainer Vikas Kadam. He helped me a lot," says Tusshar.
Tusshar and Kareena have done films like Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai and Kya Love Story Hai, together in the past. In Golmaal Returns, the duo play siblings for the first time. "We were so young, in our 20s when we did films together. Kareena has definitely matured as an actress. She used to throw tantrums if the shoot extended beyond 10 at night. She used to be sleepy. This time, I saw her being patient even at 4 am in the morning. She has matured a lot and has become more professional now. She takes keen interest in her roles and films. I noticed her taking interest in the music as well. I was quite surprised. I told her that. Even during the shoot, she kept asking 'I hope I am not overacting'. It was a role where she could easily overact."
Amongst his forthcoming ventures are Neeraj Pathak's Run Bhola Run and Rumi Jaffrey's Life Partner. "Life Partner is actually a family drama. It is the story of three friends Fardeen, Govinda and myself," he says. The film will star Prachi Desai in the lead opposite Tusshar.
