CONCERNED HUSBAND: Suniel Shetty with wife Mana Suniel Shetty was shooting in Dubai for Firoze Nadiadwala's Deewane Huye Paagal when he received a call from his wife Mana, who said she was in a great deal of pain. A wan-looking Shetty says, "A week ago, Mana's back started hurting. The pain became so bad that she couldn't move. It was not related to any injury or fall — it just began suddenly. We don't know what caused it. It became so bad that she couldn't even get out of bed." The Shettys visited a specialist who ran some tests on Mana and diagnosed the problem. "Apparently, some disc has moved and jammed a nerve." This condition has caused her back to go completely black. His wife is under a lot of pain and the doting husband has put everything on hold to be by his wife's side 24/7. "On March 5, I am taking her to London for surgery." Mana will be admitted to the Willingdon Hospital and be operated on by the same team of doctors who treated Shah Rukh Khan. "In fact," says a grateful Shetty, "it was Shah Rukh who put me on to them. It's a very sensitive surgery, and I want Mana to have the best care," says the worried husband. The surgery will take place next week and the Shettys will stay on in London post-operation. The couple's children — daughter Athiya and son Ahaan — will stay with Suniel's parents in their absence. The kids haven't been told about the surgery, says the worried father. "They are so attached to her. Mana drops them off to school every day at seven in the morning, in Bandra," an hour's drive from where the family stays. There have many calls from friends of the couple, offering advice and help — not surprising, considering they are one of the industry's best loved couples. We are with the well-wishers offering their prayers for her successful operation and a speedy recovery

I saw the Jeena isi ka naam hai episode where they talked about Sunil Shetty's life. He loves his wife SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much! They are SOOOO cute together! She came on and they kept holding hands the whole time and kept calling eachother "jaan" and "baby".....i really hope she gets better.

Sunil shetty is like the nicest actor ive ever met. I met him when he came to La to shoot for kaante...i saw all those stars then. Sunil shetty was a gentlemen. He talked to us for about 20 minz and i have pics sitting on his motorcycle. hehehe. but he is VERY down to earth and a sweet guy. Along with Amithabh Bachchan! They were the 2 nicest ones i talked to. AB was just awesome, he took me out from the rest of the crowd to get a nice pic with me cuz the sun was coming in our eyes. He is not the best just for no reason!!!! Awesome human being as well as actor! 😛
