 There is probably a jodi which is not to be. Their first film together, Saawariya, did no fare well at the box office. And then their personal relations were so strained that they probably did not want to work together. We are talking of Ranbir and Sonam Kapoor.Both youngsters began their careers as assistants to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and then moved up to become the lead actors of his film, Saawariya. They gave countless interviews talking about their friendship and the great comfort level they shared with each other. But the moment, one Deepika Padukone walked into Ranbir''s life, the friendship went out of the window. Sonam and Ranbir were reportedly not even on talking terms. While Ranbir went on to sign films with Yash Raj, Raj Kumar Santoshi and Prakash Jha, Sonam took up Rakesh Mehra's Dilli 6. It seems that Sonam was offered Vicky Singh's Mera Jahaan starring Ranbir. But once she learnt that she would have to share screen space with Deepika, Sonam reportedly turned down the movie. Now it seems that Shimit Amin wanted to make a film with the Saawariya jodi for Yash Raj Films. He had reportedly already roped in Ranbir earlier, while Sonam came in a little later into the project. But it seems that now she has again decided to opt out. Like we said, theirs is probably a jodi which is not to be. |
