Nikkhil’s raring to go - Article

He started his career with a bang endorsing the classiest brands ranging from suitings to automobiles and some hot lilting music videos.

After that one would have thought the natural transition for Nikkhil Arya would be Bollywood considering his co-stars in his ad films and music videos Amrita Rao, Nandana Sen, Neetu Chandra etc have moved to Bollywood.

So what prompted Nikkhil to go into television? "Well, I just like to put my best foot forward and television has helped to hone my skills," he says. We have to agree with what he says considering he is among the very few actors who has played the positive lead (Rabba Ishq Na Hove, Choona Hai Aasman) and negative lead (Kasturi) with such ease and conviction. Now what's next? "Well, such a lot actually. Television is going through a beautiful transition and there are so many different things to do on it right from acting to anchoring to reality shows," he says.

And films too? "Surely. Our country has the best crop of filmmakers coming up with such beautiful and varied concepts. I'm waiting to be on that big screen with any role that's challenging," he smiles.
