Today is the elimination day on Bigg Boss, but audiences across India will not be able to see this, thanks to the ongoing strike by technicians in the television industry. Actress Shilpa Shetty, who hosts the show, has decided to support the strike, which means there will be no shooting on the sets of Bigg Boss.
A source from the production house told us both Shilpa Shetty and Pooja Bedi will be supporting the strike. "In fact, the entire film fraternity is in favour of the strike. Naturally, we will not be shooting today as there is no crew is available. Only the people monitoring the cameras inside the house will be on set," our source said.
A spokeperson for the channel told us that both the elimination episode and the episode after that will not be shot. "However, the elimination will take place in the house as per the rules of the game show. Once Bigg Boss tells us who has been eliminated, that contestant will have to leave the house. But he or she will not interact with Shilpa or any other person," he said.
Shilpa Shetty interacts with the inmates of the house every Friday. After this, the eliminated contestant gets out of the house and tells Shilpa about his or her experiences and feelings. On Saturdays, Pooja Bedi chats with the inmates and their friends or parents.
Wasim Akram, too who was going to be a guest at the Bigg Boss house this week has also cancelled his appearance. He will be promoting Ek Khiladi Ek Hasina instead. Is Bigg Boss losing its celebrity quotient?
There is also a buzz that Sambhavna Seth will be eliminated from the house this week.
