yes! i agree with you completely. if girl's parents become strong, then no in-laws would ever dare to be so cruel.

In India, most of the girls do not complain about their husbands or in-laws, and continue to bear on the atrocities because they know that no one will stand with them, even their parents .... married means... there is escape out, however torturous it gets. And, parents more than thinking about their daughters, are more concerned about the society.

I knew, this is going to happen ... if they let Anandi stay ... the society won't let them live in peace, may be they will even boycott them. So, no surprises...

The girl's parents always bow in front of the boy's pparents hence the situation is that the groom's side alwaysthrows tantrums.

This show is running because of two factors:

the fearful parents of the bride

The bride's parents believe in tradition and cannot find the courage to bring about a change. 😔

Daadi's supremacy remains in how she can control everyone in her household. 👎🏼

Sumitra and hubby are the supportive and indulgent parents in law who love Anandi as their own. 👍🏼 She blooms in their presence. ❤️ And that is one of the most interesting aspects of the serial. My POV, of course!! 😆

Imagine, if her in-laws would also have been like Maasa, it would have been complete hell for the girl.
