Ishani- Banku plot

Clearly they’re planning for Ishani and Banku to happen and while it’s predictable and keeping in line with how the kids on this show have done things completely opposite to what their parents expect of them, I just don’t think this is the hill for Ishani’s character to die on. This is clearly going to lead Pakhi on a classist rant that starts with Anupamaa’s penchance for adopting randos, bringing them into the home and encouraging the girl from her house to be with him(Meenu and Sagar) and ends with her being “worst mother in the world” and then obviously Communist Anupamaa will stand for Banku’s right to be with Ishani and speak of the dignity of labour. Baa will talk about jaat-paat, khaandaan and Bapuji will say yeh tu kya keh rahi hai but will ultimately just shut up because Baa will say aaj main chup nahin rahungi when she has never once been chup. Maybe Digvijay will add Banku to his will and say he’s like a son to him. But I feel like considering Ishani’s many changes as a person, while she doesn’t have to seek out a rich man like her mother wants for her, she should atleast be with someone age and milieu appropriate. Also if anything, I feel they should turn this into a good friendship instead, one that helps improve Banku’s life and keeps Ishani humble. Idk if there exists a single male-female friendship on this show that hasn’t been coloured by someone’s romantic intentions. Which is a bad look considering Anupamaa talks about how men and women can be friends all the time, they should atleast walk the talk.
