Mangal asks Rudra to look after his sister Swati tells Rudra to see Shourya's state Shourya asks Rudra for help Ganga introduced
• Shourya spots Mangal

Shourya tells Rudra that once he sees the shooter then he will recognise him staright away and find out who is behind all this. Meanwhile Mangal appears at the doorway and on noticing Rudra's look, Shourya starts to turn round but is stopped by Shankar who assures him that they will find the man.

Rudra's Room'

Shourya is determined to get to the bottom of this and leaves for his room. Mangal remembers Rudra's look and Shourya catching sight of him. Rudra comes in and the shooter is apologetic but Rudra replies that he knows his actions weren't intentional and sends him of with some money. Mangal expresses his concern about his sister Ganga who will be left alone. Rudra assures him that he will look after Ganga and on Mangal's request, promises that Ganga will not come to know what he does for a living.

Living Room'

Shourya is upset and says that he had planned to introduce Simran to the family after exams but now she has been forced away from him. He curses the person behind everything and the family is disturbed. Swati comes in and takes Shourya to a side whilst Shankar is told that Rudra has called him.

Shankar is happy and rushes to Rudra who plainly tells him that he has not been called her for forgiveness. Instead Rudra tells Shankar that whilst Shourya is here, they will keep up the fa'ade of having the same father-son relationship they used to share. Shankar is upset but agrees.

Dinner'

Rudra comes down and is surprised to see only Yashodha at the table. She tells him that he has driven one son away, the other is weepig over his loss and their daughter has already distanced herself from them. Rudra gets angry and asks her why she can't see that he is trying to give Shourya his happiness.

Swati comes in and tells Rudra that they don't want such happiness and only wish to live a simple life. She pleads with Rudra to actually see Shourya's state and look at how his search for happiness has only brought loneliness for his son. Yashodha is mad at Swati and tells her not to speak to Rudra like that.

Outside'

Shourya is sitting on his own. Rudra joins him and reminds Shourya of his childhood days. Shourya however has his mind only set on one thing and asks Rudra to use his police contacts to find the shooter. Rudra agrees and asks Shourya for a smile. Shankar appears and tells Shourya that today they will see the Mumbai nightlife and turns a deaf ear to Shourya's protests.

Chawl'

Mangal is preparing to leave and his sister helps him with the packing. He smiles and asks what he would do without her, Ganga is upset and asks him not to leave but Mangal replies that he has to go for work and gives her a picture of Rudra and Yashodha for her to remember him by.

Road'

Shankar tries to talk to Shourya who bluntly replies that he is not going back to the academy. Instead he will stay here and look for the shooter. Meanwhile Mangal is in a rickshaw heading towards the train station.

Both cars come to a stop as Ganpathi devotees block the road. Mangal decides that he can't wait anymore and goes out on foot; however both him and Shourya spot each other and are stunned.
