HEY EVERYBODY!

SOMEHOW I NEVER HAVE BEEN ABLE TO COME TO A CONCLUSION ABOUT HOW FRANK A BEST FRIEND SHOULD BE.......I MEAN WELL I DEFINETLY AGREE THAT A BEST FRIEND SHOULD TELL U WHEN UR WRONG OR TELL U SOMETHING THAT MAY ULTIMATELY BENEFIT U.....BUT SOMETIMES A REALLY CLOSE FRIEND MAY GO TO SAY THINGS ABOUT UR BEHAVIOUR OR UR LOOKS THAT MAY HURT U....WHAT EXACTLY DO U GUYS THINK THE LIMIT SHOULD BE?

I THINK IF ITS SAID IN A TACTFUL MANNER AND IF ITS TRUE IT SHOULD BE OK...BUT NOT WHEN IT IS SAID ACCUSINGLY OR WITH A HURTFUL INTENT

**Viewbies note pls donot use all caps lock in ur post as it represents shoutin on the net**

hey ,

ya i got what ur trying to say😊

but then what i want to know is that when ur best friend tells u something about for instance the way u behave or dress, should that also be taken in the spirit of friendship?or sometimes maybe crack a joke on u publicly?

thats really got me confused....

Yes its important you say it as tactfully as possible , whether its your best friend or a sibling or a parent .

And if your friend cracks jokes at you in front of others , well i hardly think that person deserves to be called your friend.

Yeah I agree... actually I think you can tell by the person's tone of voice... if he or she is saying it for ur benefit.. they wouldn't say it publicly in front of everyone to embarass you .. if they do that then they are not a true friend!!! but if they actually mean well they will tell you in a tactful and nice manner in which you will not be offended. Personally I believe that no one not even you best friend has the right to say something to u regarding ur looks or dress or behaviour... unless you ask them ur selves...because at this point u are looking for the truth..but if they constantly are saying things about ur look, dress or behaviour when u don't ask them then that really hurts and that is something a friend especially a best friend does not do!!!

i disagree with most of you. only a real friend will you like it is. all others may use tact and things but they end up telling you things as they should be and not how it is. when a friend tells you something that hurts you, it may hurt you that moment but you think and paid attention to what he/she says, in the long run it will prove beneficial to you. i would rather have my friend criticise me on my face than have others bitch about it behind my back. finally " I THINK IF ITS SAID IN A TACTFUL MANNER AND IF ITS TRUE IT SHOULD BE OK...BUT NOT WHEN IT IS SAID ACCUSINGLY OR WITH A HURTFUL INTENT"

.if a person is a friend his intention when he tells you something negative, will never be with the intention to hurt. if his intension is to hurt then he is definitely not your friend!
