if i'm not mistakened, the article read,
SOME AREAS OF MUMBAI, it didn't say mumbai doesnt allow muslims..just like some socities don't allow muslims, im sure that some muslim socities dont allow hindus, maybe the socities just want to keep the atmosphere mutual without having any hindu-muslim conflicts,
or maybe they feel that they're selling a very prestegious land, in terms of value, and they wouldnt wanna give it to a person who's not of their faith becaue that would be like selling land to the enemy. and i must say that some members are saying that muslim actors should be thankful that they have been accepted into bollywood and india, but you must not forget, the fact remains that they are INDIANS regardless of their religion! they are MUSLIM-INDIANS....india is probably more of their homeland than ours, we spent our lives outside of india and yet claim it as ours, so how can they not consider india their homeland when they have been born raised and lived there?
dilip kumar-Born in Peshawar-it was a part of hindustan before it went to pakistan
SRK-parents were from peshawar before it became pakistan and travelled to india NEW DELHI WHERE SRK WAS BORN
Salman Khan- Born in Manglore
and the list goes on...
why should they be grateful to be accepted into india and bollywood? It's their country, theyre civilians of that country and we can't deny them their civilian rights. thats against universal humanistic ethics.
those of you born in the US or in some other country, you wouldnt be too pleased if someone told you that you should b thankful that this country has accepted you. wouldn't your reply be "im a citizen, its my country."
i've come to a realization, with all the presidential nominee controversies in the US, that people in general are very racist. They swear they are not, but it just comes out without them realizing.
And i think the only reason these actors spoke out is to awaken the country that this issue exits in other parts as well, if it can happen to celebs, then it can happen to others too.
no one need not take offense, i tried to make my reply as neutral as possible, it was just intended to raise a point that i thought should be taken into consideration before anyone starts denationalizing anyone.
