Sept 1 (Mon): Episode 35

Ranjini goes to see her boss about asking permission to leave early so that she can go to Sangeetha's house to talk about Uma's wedding. She is supposed to meet Arun there. She goes in and her boss tells her about a new and important assignment that needs to be taken care of immediately. He tells her about drug smugglers and pedlers target(all in muted dialog). He tells Ranjini that this assignment is very important and for her to be ready immediately. Ranjini walks out and sees Nithya and tells her she has been given an important assignment and if she would like to assist. Nithya rudely asks her if their boss has asked for her. Ranjini says no and Nithya tells Ranjini she is not her boss and cannot order her around but to do her own work and leaves. Ranjini apologizes and leaves.

Nithya recalls previous incident that made her angry with Ranjini. Nithya is travelling in an auto and wants the auto driver to go faster as she will be later for an interview. Half way. the auto is stopped and Ranjini with a boy who is bleeding and another lady asks that the boy be taken to the nearest hospital. Nithya tells Ranjini to look for another auto as she is in a hurry but Ranjini pleads with her saying that there are no auto around and they have been waiting for a long time. The lady then just pulls Nithya out of the auto and tells her that the boy's life is in danger and asks Ranjini and the boy to go ahead. When pulling Nithya's hand, the blood in her hand stains Nithya's hand and saree. The auto leaves and Nithya is left seething. She sees the blood on her saree and hand and gets really angry.

Ranjini is being interviewed by the Customs Officer and tells her that she is appointed and for her to wait and collect her appointment order. Ranjini thanks him and leaves. The Officer comes out and is stopped by Nithya (who has changed her attire) and tells him that she is coming for interview. The officer tells Nithya that she is late and for her to come back another time. Nithya tries to explain to him the reason for her being late but the officer says that everything has a reason and he is not going to accept it and tells her for another interview and leaves. Nithya stands there and sees Ranjini and asks her is she is happy now. Ranjini who does not recognize her says she is but feels that Nitya is not talking about her job but something else. Nithya tells her about the accident and why she was delayed. Ranjini thanks her and says that she had gone and got the boy admitted and was able to come in time, whi didn't dhe. Nithya says her dress was stained and she needed to look good for the interview. Ranjini tells her that looking at one's best is important but being on time is more important. She tells Nithya couldhave come on time and explained the situation and it would have been alright. and leaves again making Nithya angry with her.

Back to the present. Nithya just walks away with a smirk on her face. In the meantime, Sangeetha is talking with Arun, Uma's boyfriend. She asks him about his family and his career. Arun tells her he is a software engineet and his family will agree to his choice of bride. He assures Sangeetha no problem will arise and she should make wedding plans. Sangeetha tells him she will and Uma is very happy.

Ranjini and her partner are in their SUV when Uma calls and tells her about the wedding plans. Arun speaks with her and Ranjini congratulates them both. Ranjini's partner asks if everything is ok and she tells him everything is fine.

Maragatham goes to Chandramathi's house with her nephew Sakthi. They meet Chandramathi and her mother. After exchanging pleasantaries and teasing Ishwarya, Shakti leaves. Chandramathi and mother proposes a marriage alliance between Shakti and Ishwarya and asks Maragatham's opinion. After thinking for a moment, Maragatham agrees much to IShwarya's shock. Ishwarya goes downsatairs and calls Karthik and tells him about the wedding plans. She says the wedding plans will not happen because only Kathik is to marry her or she will commit suicide and hangs up. THODARUM.

Sept 2 (Tues); Episode 36

Meena calls for her mother and asks for coffee. Saradha brings coffee and Meena takesa sip and scold her mother for not putting sugar in it. She asks her mother what she is thinking because she puts too much salt in the sambar and no sugar at all in the drinks. Saradha tells her she is worried about her husband but Meena tells her they are now relieved of the problems he is causing. Sangeetha arrives with wedding invitation and asks for Ranjini. Meena tells her that Ranjini had to leave as her boss had asked to to go to the office immediately. Sangeetha tells them she had brought the first invitation tobe given to Ranjini and as she is not there hands it to Saradha,. Sradha nad Meena are shocked to learn Uma is getting married. Saradha asks why is Uma getting married now, as she has not completed her studies. Sangeetha tells her that it is imperative that Uma gets married now and tells them not to ask any more questions now. Sangeetha tells Saradha to come with the family to the wedding and bless her daughter. Saradha gets all emotional and tells her that Rajagopal is not homebecause Ranjini had been angry with him about the photo incident. Sangeetha tells her not to worry as he will return soon.

Nithya is being blasted by her supervisor (Aathi's eldest son in Bandham) for misplacing an important file. Nithya is not sure where she had put hte file. Her supervisor tells her to go look for it and she leaves. Two other officers are happily having lunch in their cabin and praises Rekha for making such tasty fish curry. Nithya goes in and is thanked by the officers for letting her sister bring such good food for them. Nithya asks who and is told about Rekha who shouldnow be in Ranjini's cabin. Nithya goes looking for Rekha. Rekha is with Ranjini who is having lunch and praising her for her food. Nithya goes in and wants to know what Rekha is doing in the office. Rekha tells her she brought the file that Nithya left at home and as she did not want to come empty handed, she cooked and brought food to her co-workers. Nithya scolds her and insults Ranjini for eating the food. Ranjini gets water to wash her hands but Rekha stops her saying she brought the food for her and she should eat it. She also tells Ranjini she will go visit her in her house.

Arun takes his wedding invitation and gives his boss. The boss looks at the invitation which has both the bride and groom's photo on it. He laughs and says that it is now the fashion to print invitation with photographs. He tells Arun that he should be aware that he is a wanted person and if the authorities see this invitation, they will know where to find him. Arun tells him that the invitation was printed by the bride's parent. The boss gives him some money and congratulates him.

Arun meets Uma and scold her for printing the invitation with photographs. Uma tells him that her mother printed it. Arun tells her that it is dangerous for him as she knows very well the kind of work he does. Arun tells Uma to stop giving out the invitations and leaves. Uma just looks at him.

Ranjini is in her room and asks her mother for the wedding invitation. Saradha looks for it but forgets where she had put it. She tells Ranjini about it and she gets upset. Saradha tells her that worrying about her husband , she had misplaced it and tells her to call and ask for another invitation but Ranjini says she cannot do that as it may be seen as a bad omen.

Ishwarya is rushed to the hospital followed by Chandramathi and mother. Karthik and his friend sees Iswarya being pushed on the stretcher and Karhik thinks about Ishwarya's threat to commit suicide and feels she has really done it. His friend asks if she is not the same girl who had visited him the other day but Karhtik jus tells him to shut up and they leave. Ishwarya is taken into surgery and after sometine, the doctor (Ranjini's proposed maapilai) comes out and tells both Chandramathi and her mother that Ishwarya has a growth in her uterus and is very dangerous. He tells her she needs to be operated soon. Chandramathi is at first sad that by doing this operation, Ishwarya will not be able to have children but agrees as it is a matter of life and death. THODARUM.

Sept 4 (Thurs): Episode 37

Chandramathi tells doctor to make arrangements for Ishwarya's operation. Mother tries to stop her but Chandramathi says it is a matter of life and death and her daughter is very important.

Ranjini and Sangeetha are shopping for 'Thali' at a jewellers. Ranjini asks why she did not bring Uma. Sangeetha says that Uma will wnat many things and she can't afford it and that is why she did not bring her daughter. After buying jewellery the leave. Ranjini is shocked to see her father begging on the streets outside the jewellers. She asks her father why he is doing that. Rajagopal says he is hungry and that is why he is doing that. Ranjini asks him to stop begging and to come home but he refuses saying he will not come back unless Sangeetha promises not to come to their house ever again. Ranjini gets mad and asks what had Sangeetha done that made him so angry. Sangeetha tells Ranjini to be patient and to take him home. Ranjini tells her father to just do what he wants and takes Sangeetha's hand and leave. Rajagopal gets worried and changes his mind and goes after them.

Sangeetha in her bedroom reading. Uma comes to her and wants to talk to her mother. Sangeetha asks what she wants. Uma starts saying that both of them had drifted apart over the years and that she had never been a good daughter to her mother whereas Sangeethat had always been a good mother. She tells her mother that no matter what she wanted, her mother had always given. Not that she is getting married and leaving, she does not want her mother to live alone. Sangeetha looks at her in surprise. Uma tells her mother to live with her present husband. She says her father is dead and now that she will be leaving, Sangeetha need not be afraid that it will jeopardise her life. It is time for her mother to live her life without thinking about what others will say.

Uma says it is her wish that both her mother and her husband give her away at the wedding and bless her. She says she is ready to accept him as her father. Sangeethat just looks at
Uma and says she does not know the truth and cries. Uma says she does know and wants her mother to carry on her life and no one will question her and she will not let anyone question her. Both mother and daughter hug each other and cry. THODARUM.

Uma is waiting at the park and Arun comes there. He gives her a packet and tells her to keep it carefully till the wedding over and not to open it at all. Uma agrees.

At home Sanggetha is sitting and thinking. Uma comes there and ask if she meet her husband? Sanggetha tells Uma not to worried about this as whether he comes or not, Uma wedding will take place. Uma tries to argue with her mother. She says this is her only chance to see him. And she wants him to be there to bless her. Sanggetha just looks at Uma not saying anything. Uma begs her mother. Uma leaves and Sanggetha thinks.

Uma goes to visit her friend Sweda (Nithiya roommate). But she is not in. Uma gives Nithiya the wedding card to pass to sweda and leaves. Nithiya opens the card and shock to see Arun picture there. She also notices Ranjini name at the bottom of the card.

Ranjini goes to see Sanggetha but not in. She ask Uma if got extra card, Uma says with her mother. Ranjini about to leave when Uma ask Ranjini to sign the bank document. Arjun wants to open account from d same bank Ranjini has and recommendation is needed. Without seing Arjun, stupid Ranjini signs the document.

Vikram goes to see big boss, shows the wedding card. Boss shock to see Arjun picture. Vikram tells boss all this is happening under RAnjini. Boss does not want to believe as Ranjini told she will catch him. Boss is confused now.

Boss at home sitting and thinking. Wife ask him what happen?. Boss tells her he is thinking about Ranjini and the Arjun story. Wife ask if he suspects Ranjini? He says that is not important but things showing Ranjini is in bad side. Boss says he loves Ranjini as his daughter and he has to do his duty. Wife says to talk to Ranjini first before deciding thing. He agrees.

Nithiya comes to boss house. Looks like he ask her to be there while he questions Ranjini. Ranjini comes there. Boss tells her about Arun and shows her the wedding card. Ranjini is shock.
