Santosh Sivan and Shah Rukh Khan will be working together again after Asoka (2001) in a semi adventure periodical.
Says Santosh, "The film will be full of adventures. I'm planning to take John Abraham too. We are working on the script."
Santosh says he enjoyed directing Shahrukh in Asoka. "Though the film didn't do well it was critically acclaimed for my cinematography. I am excited to work with Shahrukh again. We will start work on after he completes all his other assignments."
On his next film Tahaan which releases on September 5, he says, "It's about a journey of a boy who goes to find his donkey back and through his journey he meets interesting characters. It's a very big tussle for the boy to go and get his donkey back. So during this event there are so many things that happen. I thought of making it (the newspaper report) into a film but in a way that it's like a fable with morals and things like that but it has a lot of surprises."
He adds, "Moreover there are some interesting characters like the dumb shepherd played by Rahul Bose, half widow played by Sarika and Anupam Kher who guides the boy. The film gives you the message of friendship."
Before Tahaan, Sivan had directed The Terrorist but he shot to fame as a cinematographer for Dil Se (Chaiya Chaiya).
