Saif at SAIFF with 'The Blue Umbrella'
The SAIFF (South Asian International Film Festival) will begin in New York from December 7. The fest will open with Bharatbala's 'Hari Om' and close with Vishal Bharadwaj's 'The Blue Umbrella'. Some of the other films being featured are 'Being Cyrus', starring Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia and Naseeruddin Shah, 'Kyaa Kool Hai Hum', 'Sanchara', 'Kal', 'Hazaaron Khawaishen Aisi' and Aparna Sen's '15 Park Avenue'.
The opening night will also see a tribute to Bhanu Athaiya for her contributions to South Asian cinema. Athaiya is India's only Oscar-winner in history, her work in 'Gandhi'.
