I remember watching a Video where two guys brought home a lion Cub as a pet... As it grew, it was difficult for them to take care of it.. So, they left the lion in the forest.. After few years they went to the same forest, and hearing their foot steps, the lion couldn't stop itself from pouncing upon the guys... It was just like when the kid meets the parents after a long time...

Even the animals have a heart of their own!! They can be kept in zoo, if they are properly taken care of.. Thr are many zoo who are not properly maintained and many animals die every year!!

In 1986, Peter Davies was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Northwestern University

On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Peter approached it very carefully.

He got down on one knee and inspected the elephant's foot and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it. As carefully and as gently as he could, Peter worked the wood out with his hunting knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man, and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several tense moments. Peter stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned, and walked away. Peter never forgot that elephant or the events of that day.

Twenty years later, Peter was walking through the Chicago Zoo with his teenaged son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Peter and his son Cameron were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Peter, lifted its front foot off the ground, then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man.

Remembering the encounter in 1986, Peter couldn't help wondering if this was the same elephant. Peter summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder. The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Peter legs and slammed his stupid ass against the railing, killing him instantly.

Probably wasn't the same elephant.

This is for all of my friends who send me those heart-warming stories.😛

......for some reason, the pic is not showing here. It's a very "pretty" picture of a guy standing with a hoge elephant😉. Vdi, I'll be emailing it to you😆

I think it is wrong for us to keep animals in cages out of their natural habitat to keep us and our loved ones entertained.
Yes its nice to see what animals are like but i think discovery channel does a great job in keeping us updated.
First british came to america thinking it was india and got rid of the native americans and now ppl are endanggering the lives of animals and we will no longer have animals other than the ones ppl have breeded through the zoos and all.
NO i am not trying to say that the natives are like animals, but that the natives were treated the way animals are being treated now days and then when we realize what a big mistake we made we will not be able to go back and fix our mistake.
We as people are meant to make mistakes, but aren't we suppose to learn from our mistakes as well?
Unfortunatly we will make the same mistakes over and over again, i wish we would open our eyes and try to work togther for a better world, and work together as a world and not compete as countries and end up poluting the whole world.
OKay sorry i have a lotta different things that i disscussed in this topic and it might have been off by a lot, but sorry i wanted to get that out there. and share my opinion.

Well...i guess its wrong an all that...but should we leave them in the forests to encourage illegal poaching and stuff? 😕
This is a very debatable topic cuz there are many opinions abt this topic..!
on one hand, there is this poaching thing...animals become endangered...
and on the other hand, there is loss of freedom...
even i am not totally with the idea of zoos...but i think its better for the animals survival...
but at the same time..there are many disadvantages.....animal ccubs that are born in zoos and are later left in the wild don't know how to survive and deal with certain situations...
i think wildlife santuaries are better than zoos...zoos are made for money-making businesses...but they look after the animals well...atleast mostly...i doubt if it is the same case in india..
This topic is like the Narmada Dam issue...if u build the dam...thousands of natives are stranded and if u dun build the dam...industrialization of the region is delayed..!
thats y they say...there are two sides of a coin...! 😃
