Hi friends,

Just saw SBS's Independence day special.😊

SBS was taking about actors on TV who have an army backgound.😊The list is like: Gauri Pradhan,Rajeev khandalwal,Shipra (ganga),Shabbir Alhuwalia and Panchi Bora who's father Col.C P bora was the first officer who's batallion was posted in the front during the Kargil war.👏👏👏It was said that Panchi has learn to value time and lead a simple life from her father.😊I forgot add Karan singh Gorver's name before,Karan's father wanted him and his brother also to go to the forces ,but karan and his brother are very weak in maths.(a must in the army).

Thats really commendable...!! I have a lot of respect for people who belong to army backgrounds...It is because of them that we lead a happy, safe and secure lives within the confines of our home....

Btw, did they interview them?

Rajeev father was in army and he retired as an Major, and right now his elder is in the army.......😊

i really thank SBS for this epi..though im yet to watch it..Thanks Lizzy..

My Father also an Army Officer most of the time posted in field..we know how difficult it is for us to live without a dad most of the time..and how hard it is for our mom to bring us up all alone..on top of that frequent and unpredictable relocations make our life full of challenges ..Kudos to all the army kids!!!We rock!!👍🏼😃

Didnt know though shabbir's dad is also from services..😊
