RAJESHWARI SAYS:
FIRST MEETING
Varun and I first met on the sets of Antakshari. I was hosting the show and he was one of the participants.
INITIAL IMPRESSION
I was in a bad mood that day so I hardly noticed him. But, when he sang I remember thinking he has a really great voice.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After the show, we didn't hear from each other for months. Later, I kept bumping into him since we are in the same profession and we even worked on a game show together. Varun and I were always good friends and thought we should start dating. He asked for my hand in marriage and I told him he will have to speak to my parents. It all happened quickly and we got engaged within a few days.
FIRST DATE
Our first date was actually after we decided to get married. We went for our respective film press parties together and that was the first time people saw us together.
QUALITY TIME
Our profession is such that there are days when we don't get time to breathe and others when we have too much time. We like to catch up on movies or just relax at home. We recently took a holiday together after almost a year.
VARUN SAYS:
INITIAL IMPRESSION
The first time we met there wasn't much time to form an opinion. Rajeshwari just stormed into the sets as she was not in a good mood. We later met backstage and I said a customary hi.
INITIAL ATTRACTION
I found her to be very warm and someone worth talking to.
HOTTEST GESTURE
Rajeshwari tries to make every moment memorable together. She is the one who manages to get both our families together. I remember once she arranged a party with all my friends at an art gallery. The walls of the gallery were covered with hoardings of memories of the two of us. It was really special!
WHO PROPOSED
I felt that both of us were heading towards marriage. So, I went over to her place and asked her father. I was nervous initially but felt the answer would be positive.
QUALITY TIME
We have started going on vacations together. For the last couple of months, we have been going out for dinners and films as well. We do make an effort to get enough 'alone' time. — As told to SANAYA CHAVDA
