The talented Shahid Kapoor has just lost an important role in an Ashtvinayak film to the one movie old Imran Khan. If you thought that Sanjay Dutt is the man behind Shahid's loss and Imraan's gain, then you might just be right!
It is believed that Ashtavinayak wanted Shahid to be part of Kidnap , a Sanjay Gadhavi film, but had to change their decision on the request of the senior star.
Sanjay Dutt, who plays the lead in the film, didn't find Shahid suitable for the character and asked the producers to look out for a better actor.
It is believed that producers considered Kunal Khemu and Harman Baweja before zeroing in on Imraan, the latest craze amongst the youth.
But why did Sanjay find Shahid not suitable for that role? "Well both Sanjay and Shahid didn't get along well during their last film Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi ! Shahid didn't interact with him much and Sanjay thought that the young actor has an attitude problem. This irked Sanjay being a senior," revealed an industry insider.
Interestingly a close friend of Shahid Kapoor said, "Poor Shahid was in awe of Sanju and was too shy to be on back slapping terms with him." Kidnap is a thriller and as its title suggests, the film is on a kidnapping case that turns the lives of all the characters upside down. Dutt plays the father of a college-going girl in the film.
Imran who is now doing the film, will sport an absolutely different look from his first film. It is believed that the lad has been asked to put on some kilos to look macho enough for the action sequences in the film.
