well only if these people had ethics, their world goes arround money and trp. a reccent example is from the news channels, karishma and her hubby's vaccation was closely monitored on the satellite news channel - what was the need to be so intrusive about their personal matters. the court case was ok, but following them on their family vaccation is a step towards paparazzi. and they were proudly saying - yaad rakhiye ye tasvire aapne hamra chanel par sabse pahle dekhi thi. moral of the story - their ethics start with R and end with S - Ratings and thats it.

pls allow me to add something..i know lots of ppl dont like my philosophy..

it is true that..newschannels are being like that..moviesmakers are making D-grade movies..

but they don't force it on us..
when such type of news come..i simply change channel..

when majority of ppl will change the channel..
channel will be in loss..and they will change their program

or a good quality channel will be started for that majority...

South is full of talents..

but Sony didn't go there..
bcoz there is less profit in going there..

and if someone wanted he cud have gone to attend prg anywhere..

and it is not like that..they were allowing only mumbai ppl in Mumbai audition. anybody was allowed to come.

if they wud have felt profit...they wud have gone to every state..

well..if this time II-2 will be more successful..
maybe they will go to every town next time..

ppl like different..food..music..culture..and different regional language..

i know..we are part of india..
but the one show ..which is popular in one place..
might not be so popular in other place..
though both places are india..

Oh! for heavens sake none of u r gettting the point are u? fine if they want to be intrested in profits only let them be intrested only in raking in the moolah. nobody can say that TV producers should not make a profit! after all sabse bada rupaiyya! my grouse is that it is very presumptous of them to name their contest INDIAN idol and expect south indians to trudge all the way to Mumbai or better still Delhi for the auditions. then why did they go to lucknow this time? in all fairness they should keep the auditions only in mumbai so all INDIANS can trudge alike. else let them name their competition Hindi Idol or North indian idol or better still something like Super singer ( i know that the more intelligent and less chauvinistic Channel v has beat them to that particular title, what i mean is something similar.)

Sony is a profit organisation first giving entertainment and not into charity. If they dont make profit, they wont exist to entertain.
The programs on Sony TV,Zee TV and likes are more suited to Hindi speaking n understanding population.TV channels do their homework well and know the % wise population having the viewership. This also is directly linked to the sponsors they have to sponsor the programs.

an example: any HLL newly appointed executive or manager is metted out rural posting first as a part of induction program and gets posted mostly to villages in UP and Bihar. Its basically to capture the masses with products like Lifebuoy and other low-cost FMCG products. HLL does not send them to villages in South..why..coz 1. language problem, 2.South has lesser density of population than states like UP,MP n Bihar which are predominantly Hindi speaking.
Same logic goes for any TV channel.They want more coverage, viewership and votes which they will get only from North,MP, Western/eastern states than from South, which are more inclined towards regional TV channels.

I have spent all my childhood and youth in south(Bangalore and Madras) and know the regional problem faced by a Hindi speaking person,specailly in Madras.

I feel Sony must be auditioning in Mumbai and if a person like Arijit can come down to Delhi for his audition, it should not be a real problem for a really aspiring contestant to come to Mumbai from anywhere in South.

if u have acutally spent u'r youth in Bangalore u would know that branding all South Indians as "Madrasis" and presuming that they know only "Madrasi" is a very narrow minded view and that Bangalore and Hyderabad have as sizable a hindi speaking population as say Calcutta. Arent there theatres in all major south indian cities which show hindi movies the same day as it is released in the rest of india? Hindi is our national language and all south indians have to study it at least in School level.

this "Indian" of "Indian-idol"..
can't be compared with ..Indian prime minister,indian army,INC,IPS,IAS,etc..

Sony is not a Solo Representative of any all-india-singers' academy..

and this so-called "Indian-idol" is not the Best Singer.
he is declared best only among the persons who participated in this contest..and that only for time-being.
In future..anyone of the rest-participants can become better and can get more success than "indian-idol"
