We tried this discussion a while back. Apparently people on the forum are not 'mature' enough to discuss such topic. Perhaps in ten years when the twelve year olds are grown up more.

^^^^ 😆 😆 all the public that was against this concept has gone MIA from DM. Wonder what's up with this long hiatus. May be finally trying to figure out that thingy with bees and birds 😉

^^I think I have an oppurtunity here to report some people. 😃 Maybe I should use my report button to see how it functions. 😉

As for sex education I don't have any idea what they teach in those classes so I won't judge. At our time we didn't have sex education but when we were in 11th standard there was this NGO that came to our school to take a session on AIDS awareness. I must say there were many people who had various misconceptions as was apparent during the session and the volunteers helped to clear that. But some of the students were acting immaturely and trying to make it into a stupid session of Q&A where they were asking all sorts of irrelevant and stupid questions. Anyways, I think similarly sex education can also help to clear a lot of confusion or misconceptions given that the students act maturely. Though one thing I feel is, since the Indian teachers feel shy (that's what they said really)to discuss the topic of sex with their students maybe it's better if some volunteers from NGOs can take some sessions instead of the regular school teachers.

I'm all for it.

Quicker you demystify things that are part and parcel of everyday human activity, the better....

Gauri's right....I kinda remember having a similar discussion like this before?????
