a little help please:)

hi there,

i started watching DMG like 2 months ago but i still dont get the story of Ridhs, shashank, padma, and anjali.... I mean, if ridhima is padmas daugter then why does she call anjali her 'd' and shashank her dad😕

plz help me out!!

20 years ago, shashank was married to SMRITI (not a character of this show) and had a daughter ANJALI

and padma had a boyfriend... she got pregnant before marriage.. and her boyfriend dumped her

and since she would have to go through a lot of trouble being a single mother, shashank and smriti (her friends) decided to adopt her child and take good care of her...

so ridhima was born from padma, and shashank adopted her...

then a few years later, smriti died and padma was just a friend to shashank... and an "aunty" to anjali and ridhima..

(this was all shown as a flashback.. it didnt happen in the show really)

and during the show, ridhima and annjali found out that ridhima is adopted... and that padma is her real mother...

so thats why she calls padma "mom" and anjali "di"

and now padma and shashank have feelings for each other.. since they have been close friends for the past 20 years...
and all these interns decide to get them married

Basically Padma gave Ridz to Shahank because she was a single mother.. Ridz recently found out that Padma is her mother.. Hope that clear it out 😊
