I agree with madgirl. they've got bigger problems to worry about probably. Let the schools and the parents decide on what sites to block.

Internet has got more good sides than the bad ones...therefore its very much necessary for us to have the internet. But yes, there are few things such as po*nography which definitely needs to be censored. 😊

What and remove the purpose of the existence of the internet? LOL! Kidding.

The question at hand is when we say something like po*n, hate and violence should be censored. Who should do it, why, and how? How do we define this.

It is not directed to you, but humorous statement based on the suggestion of censoring po*n. By that I am insinuating that censoring po*n online would remove the purpose of the internet's existence as in the internet was invented for po*n. Which I know is not the case, hence the "LOL! Kidding." followed by it. It was just a one liner in jest as we all know the vast extent of online po*n in existence.

J effing C, I cant believe I had to explain the one line when it was not even the point of my above post.

The point was to reflect on the fact that when we do decide to censor things online such as po*n, violence etc what should the decision process be. Who draws the lines? Do you have the right to tell me what I can and cannot do online?

PS: To clarify I am not asking you if you can censor me, it is a generic statement as in what right one person has over the choices of another.

Is it really?😉 I know now that people mainly use internet for po*n, etc, but that doesnt mean it was the "purpose" of internet's existence. Internet was invented to make connections b/w all the computers, so that people can have info., etc at ease.

As a matter of fact, i (referring to every individual) do. People can live whatever way they want - as long as it doesnt harm him/the society...which, po*n does.
