Sufi Music-magical!

Hey everyone

Ive never posted here before but I just needed to speak to someone about this...
I recently heard Saiyyan by kailash kher


Teri deewani has been my favourite song for years now but after hearing this- I cant get it out of my head. Every moment its playing so constantly in my mind.
Especially after hearing kailash speak about how in sufism the soul is feminine and the purest form of love is therefore expressed from a female perspective I have been in total awe of sufiana songs- sach mein aisa lagta hai khuda se baatein kar rahe ho.

Can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction as to who I should look for apart from kailash kher and any particular songs I should listen to.

Kelash Kher IS amazing! I have a lot of his songs on my iPod.!
As for other sufi singers, I must say my favourites are the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Rabbi Shergil and Abida Parveen.
I hope that's a starter for your new love for Sufiana songs!
Also, I must add that some of those singers have already sung for Bollywood, and you'd realize that you've heard some of their songs thru movies, but didn't realize that you were listing to Sufi songs!
My most favourite Sufi song is "wohi Khudahai" by the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.. I listen to it at least once a day! it gives me a sense of peace!

my most favorite is piya re by nusrat fateh ali khan, o re piya by kilash kher and jiya dhak dhak jaya from the movie kalyug sung by rahat fateh ali khan. I also like main jahan rahoon from the movie Namstey London sung by rahat fateh ali khan.
