Tulsi’s biggest mistake IMO was not taking Nandini with her and believing Samaira’s decision at face value. When she met Siddhant as well she basically asked him if he loves Samaira and would keep her happy but never once did she ask him about his family, background and what are their thoughts about his relationship with Samaira.
He said he’s a student with a part-time job but she never asked him about the home he’s living at and if he’s staying as a PG or is the place owned by his family. If he’s a PG, is he alone or are there others who are sharing the accommodation with him? If he gets married to Samaira where does he plan to live with her? Nothing at all.
People grill others over lesser topics and subjects more than this. Here Tulsi was supposedly meeting the guy her granddaughter is in love with and wants to marry. I have seen people talk more with absolute strangers in trains especially long distance journeys than this!
Nandini might not have been able to accompany Tulsi as Karan was present at home.
I would have directly said no to that guy after hearing that he is unemployed. Without money love is not going to last for long particularly when there is a class difference.
In long train journeys people have lot of time to do time pass that is why they indulge in long conversations with strangers, here writer gave Tulsi one 5-10 mins to interview the candidate
