needed an update on dr.padma and shashank

can some one please give me a brief up-date on dr.shashank and sis.padma story. I am a bit confused how come dr. riddhima is her daughter how come she is with dr.shashank. your help will be appreciated.thanks..

Sis Padma was an unwed mother so Dr Shashank adopted her when she was a baby I guess.
She found out that she is adopted, I think 7/8 months ago.

some background:

padma was a nurse at sanjeevani, and shashank and her were friends....den shashank introduced padma to one of his friends.....padma and that friend liked eachother and consumated without marriage....den padma became pregnant (with riddhima) and wen she told the guy about it...he said he doesnt love her and he ran away...

padma den went to shashank and told him wat happened....shashank was really upset with his friend, but he cudnt do anything....so shashank and his wife (smriti) decided to adopt padma's dautgher (riddhima) after her birth...so thas why riddhima is considered as shashank's daughter...

but later on...smriti (shashank's wife) passed away...so shashank raised his dautghers on his own, and padma also helped but just as an aunty...however teh truth came out that riddhima is actually padma's daughter out of wedlock..riddhima accepted the truth...

in this journey, padma and shanshank fell in love with eachother...and so they are marrying...
