Frankly, audiences can not be blamed for a weak film. Lets not say its because woman oriented film, that excuse only works if its a good film and didnt work. Only superstars can make bad films have good BO , this movie not only was badly made but also miscasted. I still cant get over them not giving a chance to Katrina for a solo movie during tigers days. Alpha box office figures for week 1

#Alpha: WEEK ONE UNDERWHELMS… The writing was on the wall after a below-par opening weekend, and the sharp weekday drop has all but sealed the film’s box office fate.

With #Dhamaal4 storming into cinemas today, #Alpha will surrender a major chunk of its screens and shows.

Week 1 closes at just ₹43 Cr in India. The film is expected to end its lifetime run below ₹65 Cr nett. Against a heavy budget of₹150 Cr , the theatrical outcome is headed towards a loss-making affair for the makers.

I genuinely think that Alpha is not as bad as it got painted through social media and some critics... (it was the same, to me, with War 2)... I don't know what people expected... maybe Dhurandhar-experiences (and reports) had been such an influence (combined with the nationalist feeling peddled through it and other movies) that there got logic searched those kind of spy movies just don't try to propagate.

In addition, the speed with which the bandwagon of negativity grew, is v e r y suspicious to me.

If you compare with war 2 ,that is also a flop,it’s not that war2 was successful but alpha was not

Alpha doesn't deserve the meager amount it has earned. The reason we get served with trash like Alpha is because we endorse them. Why would anyone go and watch such a terrible movie in the theaters ? Why? It's not worth wasting time in the ott. It's not worth wasting time to watch by piracy.

It's a waste of time.

Alpha is an out an out terrible trash movie, on it's own. Bad direction, worst acting, absolutely terrible screenplay......only in our country it can make the amount of money it did.....also absolutely no need to bring in to comparison a far superior brilliantly crafted movie into comparison....
