I was planning to go this weekend but after seeing the response i have changed my plans..will not be watching this anymore..going for evil dead instead!

Alpha Box office was 4.2 crores today but occupancy was higher/increased.

So a mealy 0.5 crore with a discount

Wonder how BOI will try to make this look good, gosh that site is such a corrupt POS.

Hall occupancy was 19 %.

Let's see what happens tomorrow.

ANALYSIS TIME

#ALPHA is heading towards becoming a BIG FLOP. Another MAJOR FAILURE from Yash Raj Films after #WAR2.

The YRF Spy Universe may never come back unless YRF works on its writing. And this has always been a star-driven franchise and hence, an SRK or a Salman film is a MUST for the film to become a Big Grosser and hence the budgets must be wiser, in their absence.

The weekend business was BETTER than expected which means that the audience gave it a chance but the weak content did not allow the momentum to sustain.

#ALPHA is showing signs of a Big Crash and with stiff competition from holdovers and then the upcoming releases, it may slow down sooner than expected.

Hope YRF re-works on this and revives one of the biggest franchises of Indian Cinema.

I remember YRF sending DMCA notices to most online pirate sites even before the release of the movie. Funny thing, the pirates got the copies first watched themselves that decided NOT TO upload the movie to not offend their viewers ,avoid hateful comments and lose their regular visitors.

What kind of shit movie YRF cooked with Alpha ??

Frankly, audiences can not be blamed for a weak film. Lets not say its because woman oriented film, that excuse only works if its a good film and didnt work. Only superstars can make bad films have good BO , this movie not only was badly made but also miscasted. I still cant get over them not giving a chance to Katrina for a solo movie during tigers days. Big loss for yrf spy universe which seems like its done.

Katrina wouldn't have saved alpha in anyway. alpha at least sailed thru wknd despite being a weak film in every aspect.
