In an industry famous for its catfights, here are the filmi best friends

KAREENA KAPOOR & AMRITA ARORA

Kareena is all ga-ga about her new girlfriend. "I really like that girl. She's fun, easygoing, smart and honest… just like me. Our friendship cannot be measured against other filmi friendships. I make friends for life. For example, my best friend has been with me from school. Amu too will remain with me," Kareena says. While Amrita feels, "It is very simple. You have to follow certain rules if you want your friendship to last. Bebo is busy, and so am I. Besides our careers, we have our boyfriends to spend time with. I was visiting Birmingham on June 3. When I heard Bebo was arriving in London in a few days, I decided to stay back for her sake. We had a ball."

Preity Zinta & SUZANNE ROSHAN

Preity's cousin and businessmanager Inder Malik reveals, "The friendship of Preity and Hrithik's wife Suzanne started much before Preity got into films. In fact, she met Suzanne when she came to Mumbai. And Hrithik was a part of their group since Suzanne was dating him and Preity worked with him eventually. The trio don't hang around together these days because Suzanne recently had her baby and Preity is travelling a lot, but they make it a point to talk regularly on the phone. They have similar personalities and share a great comfort level."

KIM SHARMA & PREETI JHANGIANI

Kim feels why actresses don't gel is because there is too much of "rivalry and insecurity amongst them. There is cut-throat competition in Bollywood and everyone wants to outdo the other. However, Preeti and I have been together for five years since we worked in our debut film Mohabattein because there is no insecurity amongst us. We don't hide anything from each other, and keep our work separate. We meet once a week and go out for dinner and a movie. We also like to stay together at filmi functions since we are close to each other."

ESHA DEOL & LARA DUTTA

Esha's manager Subratu says, "Esha and Lara are true bumchums. There are no egohassles and rivalry between them. There is a lot of understanding between the two. Lara calls Esha ED. And Lara is a family friend. She often comes home and spends time with Hemaji and Aahana too. Esha throws parties at home and has a big group of friends but she and Lara are the closest. Hemaji's quite fond of Lara too. She and Esha hit it off during the shooting of Kaal and then went on to do more films like No Entry".
