18:05 Local Time, 12:35 GMT, 18:05 IST: The Gujarat Titans face the Royal Challengers Bangalore in an important contest as the league stage progresses. RCB have put together a strong run so far with six wins from eight matches, while GT have four wins from eight and will be looking to improve their position on the table.

In short, both teams have quality bowling attacks that have played a key role in their campaigns so far. With strong batting at the top and reliable bowling units on both sides, this match is set up as a balanced contest where execution on the day could make the difference.

In terms of bowling, Bhuvneshwar Kumar leads the way with 14 wickets for RCB, while Kagiso Rabada has picked up 13 wickets and Prasidh Krishna has 12 to his name for GT.

Krunal Pandya has contributed with 9 wickets, while Josh Hazlewood, Mohammed Siraj and Rashid Khan have taken 8 wickets each.

Virat Kohli has been the leading run scorer for RCB this season with 351 runs, anchoring their batting lineup with consistency. For Gujarat, Shubman Gill has led from the front with 330 runs, holding their batting together.

Pitch and conditions: It's a rare but delightful opportunity to witness RCB taking on Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Only once in the past in 2024, we saw this fixture and RCB took honours. So, viewers, switch on, count yourself lucky. Right, for match number 42, let's look at the boundary dimensions. Is there a bias on the square boundaries? Not at all, 66 metres square, quite equidistant and down the ground, 72 metres. Now, both these teams will relish the opportunity to play at this venue. Eoin Morgan is here, one, because RCB won their first title here, so nostalgic, you could say. And then GT will want to improve their home record. What I think we can expect is a high-scoring game. Those hot scores have been high the last couple of weeks here, but as we look at the surface here in front of us, there's actually quite a lot of green grass on top of the mixed soil. So that might bring a little bit more bounce, maybe a bit of movement as well. But one thing at this ground that we've seen GT against KKR is it emphasizes how good the good hard line and length top of off-stump is. The strike rate just comes right down and makes it so much more difficult to hit that top of the stumps line and length. And my word, do we have some premium bowlers on offer to exploit that. Bhuvi, Josh Hazlewood, Mohammad Siraj and KG Rabada, they will love bowling here. Yeah, the other thing too is the average person has scored three matches here, 196, so that's around par. Again, T20 stars will collide tonight, and it should be another Tata IPL spectacle. - Daren Ganga.
