See, I have three modes. One mode is when I am living with my parents and I am not working... I can compete with a panda and win.
Second mode is when I am living with my parents but I am working... I can be responsible, do household chores and do a job.
My third mode is the mother mode when I am with my niece. I almost relieve my sister of all motherly duties, take up the charge. I'll entertain that kid, will do her potty cleaning, bathing, changing, food, sleep and everything else that comes along, I sleep on extra alert mode and her every twist and turn will wake me up. I can function on a 15 minute nap too.
So, I'm basically a chameleon and adapt as per the need. Touchwood. For now I am able to do so. May Allah bless me with the same adaptability forever.

Unfortunately it's common. When people realise that they don't need you anymore this is how they treat you. That's what happened to me. That's what happened to my parents as well and when?? When they lost their parent. There's a reason my mother and father cut off from half of these toxic relatives and cousins. I am not saying all are bad but there are some people who are so much consumed in arrogance, negativity, cheapness, insecurity, big fat ego that they have stopped being positive and normal and constantly operate on negativity. And you know what the irony is?? Most of the people who have such negativity never have inner peace and hence are always unhappy. Don't ever get affected by such peopleOriginally posted by: Aazeen02
You know once my bestest friend who's also my cousin's wedding gets announced and it turns out to be her 9 year old love turning into marriage.
I asked her - You didn't tell me about this, while I have been your best friend and have always shared everything that happened in my life.
She replied - I thought you'd get jealous of me, because I am getting married and you are not.
That day something broke in me and I can't look her the way I always did.
So, education, love, understanding, society, this that... Everything is BS as long as you want to be an empathetic human being.
