Ajinkya Rahane | KKR captain: Feeling okay, lot of cramps, hopefully I'll be okay. 220-225 was a good total. Inexperienced bowling attack, but these boys will learn. MI batted well. (On his batting) I am still young, feeling good. Really happy with the way I am batting. Hopefully Green starts to bowl soon. We batted really well, finding the balance with the ball is really important. The question you need to ask Cricket Australia (when asked why Green can't bowl).
Omg
Something is fishy here
Two games, two dominant chases. Royal Challengers Bengaluru set the tone last night and now Mumbai Indians have taken it a step further, making a 220 chase look ridiculously easy. When Kolkata Knight Riders piled up that total, it felt like a close finish was inevitable. Instead, MI blew the game open early. Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton came out swinging, cashing in big time during the powerplay, mirroring KKR’s own aggressive start. KKR’s inexperienced attack was under pressure straight away and Ajinkya Rahane’s injury only made things worse. Both Rohit and Rickelton brought up fluent fifties, putting MI firmly in control well before the halfway mark. Rohit’s brilliant 78 ended with a superb catch from Anukul Roy in the deep, but Rickelton kept the pressure on following his partner's departure.
MI did lose a few wickets along the way, but the platform laid by Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton meant the chase was always under control and they were set to get it done comfortably. The bowling from both sides was largely ordinary, but it was Shardul Thakur’s three wickets and Bumrah’s tight overs towards the closing stages, that ultimately made the difference. Fireworks light up the Wankhede as a delighted Mumbai crowd soaks in a sweet win.
Ajinkya Rahane | KKR captain:
Feeling okay, just a lot of cramps to my calf and both the calves actually. So hopefully I'll be okay. I mean, just a lot of cramps. It was really tough. I thought 220-225 was a good total. We batted really well, but again, the inexperienced bowling attack. Playing against Mumbai Indians, strong batting lineup, it's a really learning curve for us. Apart from Vaibhav, Karthik, Muzarabani, haven't been used to IPL, two experienced spinners, but I thought Mumbai Indians batted well. So our bowlers will definitely learn. (On his batting) I'm still young, 37, I'm still young, feeling good, but yeah, struggling with my cramps. Happens in Mumbai, a lot of humidity, but really happy the way I'm batting at the moment. (On the bowling) I think when Green starts to bowl soon, the combination will slightly be different. At the moment, we have to see the balance, guys who can bowl well for us, batting-wise, as I said, we batted really well, but finding that balance with the ball is really important. So hopefully, Green starts to bowl soon. (Why Green can't bowl?) That's the question you need to ask to Cricket Australia. A lot of positives from the batting side. I thought Kartik bowled well, played a game after a while. I thought he was really good. So yes, as I said, a lot of positives and lots to learn as well.
But, Shardul Thakur is also an eligible contender.yes I guess so
Rohit or Shardul may get POTM.
Why not ricky. He got more than rohit . Hmm
Mumbai Indians break the hoodoo - For the first time after 2012, Mumbai have won their first game of an IPL season, and they have done so by pulling off their highest successful run chase in the league's history. The chase was pretty much a one-way traffic. With the opening pair motoring along, it seemed like MI would get the job done with plenty to spare. However, it was dragged to the final over, and if anything, that is something Kolkata Knight Riders can take a bit of heart from.
Not a single over in the chase went without a boundary, highlighting KKR's struggle to build any sustained pressure. The 148-run opening stand set it up for Mumbai, and cameos from Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya ensured there were no late twists in the chase.
Bhains ki ankhh. Yeh match kaun jeetega iski bhavishyavani logon ne 1000 saal pehle kar rakhi thi stone age main.

Ryan Rickelton: "[The knock feels] Pretty good. Didn't have the best week's preparation coming into this but finding the middle of the bat felt pretty special. [On the run out] I thought Tilak said yes, but I didn't hear him clearly. And i was a bit lazy, couldn't crawl back. Not Blessing's fault, he was just trying to get the ball. Wasn't in rhythm coming into the game, but I like to think I am old enough to know my game. Obviously, I felt that pressure and weight of having Quinny behind me. It was good to get the start. I felt the pressure, but I want to be able to play more freely. He's also very helpful. We're close and spend a lot of time together. He knows my game really well as well. Really nice to just be in the change room with him."
