I dont think usa has it in him to turn iran into another Syria or Iraq or Afghanistan..they cant afford to "invade" iran ..if they do itll be suicidal ..I only feel sympathy for the Iranians but their regime had it coming ..their leaders dont care for their lives , they care for the "Islamist revolution " which they're trying to protect..on the other hand there's israel who is fighting against terror & against people who want to erase their existence..years of conflict has shaped into this war ..
My question is why dont they recognize israel ? Why this Palestine conflict when both countries could've existed peacefully ? Whose ancestors were on whose land and who invaded whom, who cares ? Live in the present.
What's our concern ? Our concern is that we face the same situation in j& k ..we have been fighting terrorism since the last 5 decades & clearly , neither Israel's strategy really works nor ours ... israels strategy is to reply them in their language ..ours is appeasement politics & peace talks..there also india is accused of "oppressing" the minorities which is laughable bec largest percentage of minorities are in india , prospering & living fearlessly....
Let's see if anything changes with this war..lots of complexities involved..
I agree , usa always works out of self interest & this time itll backfire big time ...bhaad mei jaaye , its time all the countries unite against the big bully ..
@red: They dont recognize israel because their agendas are different and their religion and its priorities are quite different on their own. Their dangerous goals are what unite them within their community, and those goals act as their driving force.
Israel’s and india’s situations are somewhat similar but very different in terms of their existence. Israel is a very small country, if they give up, they could be wiped out in no time. For india, however, only a small part of its territory is in question (POK). Even if india were to give up on that issue, the country could still survive and thrive for a long time, probably even longer than our neighbouring country could exist for the next few decades.
However, for india the problem is that if it gives up one inch of land, the neighbor will ask for another ten inches. So this issue is not an immediate existential threat but it is still something india should not take lightly. That is why it is unfolding at a slower pace, unlike the israel-palestine conflict, which is a fast paced situation. For israel, it is an existential threat happening in real time.
It is debatable why they cannot live in peace, because one side is defending while the other is in attack mode. The defender has no option but to secure its safety without taking risks for its own people, whereas for the attacker, their own ideology is what prevents them from living peacefully.
@blue: Coming to why strategy is not working for either india or israel, then india’s approach is also very different from israel’s. India’s strategy is not aimed at immediate war. Instead, it focuses on keeping the region stable while simultaneously developing the nation to a point where no one can bully it. As the economy becomes stronger, these problems may start disappearing one by one as the nation focuses more on development. At the same time, india tries to defend its interests in J&K and not give up on the occupied land.
For israel, however, their actual large scale war effectively began just 3-4 yrs ago. Yes, there had been fighting for many years but Oct 7 was the real turning point for them. Their strategy will take time to work, it will not produce immediate results. It may take years or even a decade or two. But they are fracturing their enemies one by one and imo it is working well in their favor.
@green: USA can be seen as a big bully but its also true that almost every nation depends on them in some way, evn china. Because of this, no one is willing to confront them directly unless they become more self reliant, which is very difficult in the current global system. China has been strengthening itself for decades for this very goal. India realized this perhaps 20 yrs later but it is now on the same path. Our progress is slower because democracy and the complexity of the country do not allow for a very fast pace, but we are still moving in that direction which china currently leads.

Peaceful existence is a dream with them. I used to believe in 2 state solution till Oct 7. Little research will show you the quantum of aid Palestine received over last many decades (not years) and where they spent it.
Self interest of countries or US is not what interests me. I just love the fact that US and Israel are on the front foot eliminating extremists and their supporters. The work is not complete. Pakistan and Bangladesh should be on that list. Once those are taken care of, we might begin to think of peace. We have to dismantle their thinking. They still live in dark ages with burqas, hijabs and madrassas and need to progress 1000+ years to just catch up to begin to think of living in peace with rest of us.
Totally..whatever pretext this war is being fought , don't mind the craziness of Donald duck too, this war will bring a major change in coming time, if not immediate ..social change will come & lessons will be learnt..the cost will be immense ..but this war was coming sooner or later..afterall who will they fire those missles and bombs if they manufacture it at a large scale? ..N be prepared its a long drawn war ..iran wont be defeated easily & like I said its the ideology change which is required .. if this is the cost so be it
there will be a large human cost. But that cost is because those humans believe in killing the rest of us that don’t practise their religion. Pahelgam, Oct 7 are just 2 examples of millions of such acts by them. The extremists and their supporters have to be eliminated for world peace. There is no other choice.
Don’t you love it when haters and extremist supporters come on here. Declare their Pakistani status and then change it to UK and flash fake credentials of where they were educated ? They pick US, UK, Canada, Germany (any other western country) as if that legitimizes their hate but all it means is they took it to another country from Pakistan and Bangladesh

100% agree ..
Ofc our situations are similar but not the same..we are two different countries with completely different approach.. while israel had usa to back him, our progress is credited to us alone ..
Yes..this is the key..to grow stronger and stronger so that we can exert our weight ..like nobody dares to go against China usa & Russia, we need to come to that level ..with our limitations .. wishful thinking but we can be positive about it ..What needs to change is the ideologies of dark ages.
Hopefully . The way they killed kashmiri pundits & now genocide of Hindus in Bangladesh, continuous terror activities in our country , trying to destabilize the govt , Karma will catch up soon ..
Be prepared for "india following Israel's footsteps , modi is dictator " so on so forth ..but not a word against the indiscriminate killings of innocent first ..
