Dhurandhar is the longest movie in the past couple of years but there have been longer. Officially, LOC by J.P. Dutta remains the longest with 4 hours and 15 minutes of run time, followed by Mera Naam Joker with 4 hours 4 minutes and Sangam is 3 hours 58 minutes; D2 fell short of the same by just 3 minutes. So officially D2 is now the 4th longest Indian movie in terms of run time.

Yes, but that scene still comes into play later when we see Aalam gets that note from Hamza regarding Indian currency note plates landing in the hands of the ISI via Iqbal from some Indian minister and his son.

When Aalam goes to his tempo, you notice that he sees some white powdered substance on the handle and it’s salt. The only person he had spoken to about having a connection with salted water was Hamza, so he immediately knows that he has to check for some message hidden for him and then he passes it along to Sanyal.

So my point is that Dhar has given us the teaser that these two have an association that goes longer than just their initial introduction in Aalam’s shop in Pakistan as fellow Indian spies. They have trained together and for all we know were picked up from the same prison facility together as well, but obviously met with Sanyal and his junior at separate times. So I wonder what they intend to show with this detail being worked into the script as we know nothing with Dhar is random or just for the sake of plot convenience either. He’s been far too meticulous in detailing so far to get lazy now.

Crazy as it sounds I hope this dude makes it to the end alive and hopefully we can get a surprise in Hollywood style where Dhar and Hotstar/Netflix announce that they’re collaborating again to extend the universe of Dhurandhar and we can get OG spinoff shows based on Aalam and Rizwan. I would absolutely tune in for the chronicles of Aalam because a show about him can’t rely on his physique having much of a use in Pakistan’s heavily armed gangster territory of Lyari. He’s survived there for god knows how long on the basis of his intelligence and skills alone to blend in and think on his feet. Not saying he might have never indulged in any combat but he’s definitely not a match when compared to the likes of Rizwan or Uzair.

Dhar really should write an OTT show set in the Dhurandhar universe or something equally riveting as a subject, man will absolutely kill it and given his phenomenal success even the most reticent and prolific of the Bollywood stars who have so far avoided OTT like the plague will jump in to get a chance to work with him, especially if the show is set in the Dhurandhar Universe.

I only saw killing... more killing and more killing.. stylish walks and then more killing. What's with these movies Animal, Dhurandhar.. and others...

Sometimes it feels like the universe keeps trying to protect humanity and help us evolve — through technology, knowledge, and progress. Yet we often fall back into our most primitive instincts. Despite all our advances in science, agriculture, and civilization, we still return to violence as if we’ve learned nothing.
