Kishan ki taref baki batting ki beizzati

18 overs of spin in that innings (yes, you read that right), and India, for a large chunk, did very well. Most of that was down to Kishan and his pyrotechnics. He blazed away at the start, put the Pakistan bowlers under all sorts of pressure and had an answer to each question that was posed. Once he was dismissed, though, it felt India's batters were batting on a different surface, with Pakistan's spinners applying the squeeze.

Ayub was superb throughout his spell, which included two overs in the powerplay. His double-wicket over was what set India back firmly in the 15th. Tariq was tidy too, as was Nawaz, with their eight overs only going for 52. Abrar, Shadab and Shaheen were taken apart, however, and that means Pakistan now have a stiff chase in front of them. It is, of course, not impossible, but this surface is sluggish and Pakistan will have to be at their absolute best to get the job done.

Usman Tariq: (On how it went) India and Pakistan game is huge. The vibes are really good, was having a great experience. It was kind of a dream. (On what he had to do with the ball) Pitch was quite slow. I have been to the CPL, so have experience of it and stuff. I just kept the momentum of their bat low and we are on the safe side now. (On if they can chase this score down) Of course, of course. The batters of our team have great momentum and the intent they have shown, shows our mind is clear and hopefully, we can chase it down.
