Just watched Tu Yaa Main and it turned out better than I expected. I went in with almost zero expectations, but it surprised me with a gripping dramatic arc, especially in the second half where the tension rises to an all-time high. Creature-based films in Bollywood usually disappoint, so even a fairly solid entry like this feels refreshing.
The film doesn’t hook you right away. The early romantic portions don’t land strongly, but things pick up once Shanaya’s pregnancy is revealed and the narrative starts building momentum. The first half mainly sets up the stage for the nail-biting drama that unfolds later.
The second half is the real highlight genuinely edge-of-the-seat stuff. The crocodile’s emergence is chilling, and several sequences are executed with breathless intensity. The climax feels fitting, and the special effects are surprisingly good.
Shanaya is a real surprise package not only striking on screen but also delivering a strong performance. She has the charm and screen presence to go far. Adarsh Gourav grows on you gradually; he may not look like a conventional hero, but he wins you over with his acting. Their chemistry feels natural and believable.
Overall, a decent watch.
Rating: 3/5
I am always glad to hear about a movie that is written off by samosa writers as 'disaster' that comes out in fact being good, or quite good.
Shocked about Shanaya. Thought she was worse that the other nepo kids.
Thanks, Elvis, for the review!

I hated her too before the debut but she is quite likeable onscreen.
