That's only because I don't like bitter gourd. It's the one sabzi I never eat. My mom literally has to cook a second sabzi if she makes kerela because I will not touch it. smiley37

Have you tried kaju karela sabzi? Or karela cooked with jaggery? Its yum.

My mum's tried a few ways. Still doesn't work. One time she did stuffed karela where she took the skin off because she thought that was the problem. But even that I didn't eat and I eat anything she stuffs. smiley37

is it because of bitterness or you dont like the texture? to take off bitterness you have to rub pretty good amount of salt and let it soak for like more than an hour and later wash it which takes all the bitterness away. smiley36

bold: yes yummy. we make that. Also karela & sliced potatoes sabzi with besan/chickpea flour sprinkled over them and simmer.

red: Never tried. Next time making that sabzi. Thanks for the idea

Yup karela and potato thinly sliced and with besan its yumm... I had kaju karela in a wedding n I was like what is this ? but then I liked it and if I want to make something fancy and different for dinner I make it..smiley36

Sorry captain shreya we dont want to irritate or annoy you with your not so favorite sabzi but as its a masterchef round we are sharing ideas of cooking karela differently..smiley36

It will depend how it is cooked and what kind of dish it is made with so I hope one day you get to try it and you will love it
