Rani keeps proving why her fanbase still stays strong and loyal, while her contemporaries from the 2000-10's are all but forgotten, staying relevant on paid PR.

In a female led Thriller genre, the past few years we've had - The Buckingham Murders starring Kareena Kapoor which couldn't even cross 10 Crs Net lifetime while the Kajol led Maa did 37 Crs( A success).

Mardaani 3 is trending slighty better than Maa and should finish close to 40 Cr, making it an easy SUCCESS for everyone involved.

The Queen still got it!!

Maa was not a success..it didn't trend well and ended with below average verdict. Mardaani 3 has a budget of 60cr which is why these numbers don't look good otherwise they aren't bad for the times we are in but we cannot ignore the budget which we always love to do..TBM was not a masala cop thriller like Mardaani..this is no comparison..anyone in kareena's shoes and it would have flopped..it was so dark..it was in english with hindi dubbed being atrociously dubbed..there was no way. Kareena probably is the only female actor who has given huge successes on her own shoulders..be it Veere di wedding or Crew..so she certainly is above Rani when it comes to it off late

Sonam was coming off Neerja and a National award and was a bigger star than Kareena and so were Kriti/Tabu in Crew. Not to mention Diljit and the chart buster music of both the films.

Kareena had never carried anything on her shoulders.

And ONCE again nobody knows budgets and Mardaani 3 is not a "Masala" film lol. It's a dark and gritty thriller.

Thats just hilarious..Sonam was never bigger star than bebo..if sonam gave Neerja..kareena gave ki and ka the same year..had it not been for kareena..VDW would not have opened at 10cr

Kriti had back to back flops before Crew and tabu despite being a fabulous actor has never been able to deliver hits on her own.

And Mardaani has more hindi core flavour than TBM is what i meant..the dialogue baazi and the fight sequences..kareena was also a cop in TBM but the ones we see on netflix shows at home, much different and non-massy compared to mardaani

You keep mixing up genres. Neerja is a solo female led film. Ki & Ka was a rom-com with a male lead, who was still saleable coming off Gunday & 2 States.

Kareena Kapoor has never delivered a solo female led hit like Rani, Sonam, Tabu, Kriti....every actress in this conversation and that's the true measure of stardom. Crew & VDW are multistarrers.

Let kareena come solo at the BO without any hero or gimmick or popular costars like Rani does

We can give the credit of VDW to Kareena but not Crew. Kriti came fresh off the success of TbAuj. Tabu's presence hyped the movie as she was this hyped 90s female star after BB2 and Drishyam 2 back to back.
