All of them were business owners initially and they all worked together. Mansukh, JD and Himmat trained Mihir, Hemant, Kiran. They in turn would go onto mentor Gautam, Karan, Harsh, Saahil and Ansh would join the business with them later on too.
Chirag never worked at any of the companies and Tarun’s whole existence was forgottenI don’t remember a single daughter of the family who joined business or even showed any interest in it. Suhasi Sejal got married and were housewives before disappearing. I don’t remember if Shobha had a career either. Indu was too scatterbrained to work anywhere. Karisma was the lone daughter who had any career in her generation as she joined some movie production house as a writer or assistant director, can’t remember exactly what. Savri and Bavri were kids in school last we saw them and now they’re not even mentioned at all like their parents.
We got basics from time to time about their businesses like there was a mall that they started when Ansh was introduced. But there was never any specific detail mentioned like Gautam was handling Virani Textiles and Karan was handling Virani constructions or so on and so forth.
We had Karan and Mansukh nearly getting killed in a warehouse fire when they went to inspect some stuff so we know they were into manufacturing of some kind as well but the name of the product was never mentioned.
Karan was once falsely accused of some fraudulent/smuggling activities and Gautam stood by him. Karan got arrested and Gautam got him bailed out. I remember them having a scene later where Karan said he didn’t mind getting arrested because he felt happy knowing his brother believed in him and stood by him. His family was there for him and that made him happy even under such circumstances.
Post the second leap Mihir’s brothers disappeared from the show completely. Mihir himself had Alzheimers or Dementia. Tulsi was gone and though the family stayed in SN they had separated emotionally and professionally from each other.
But even then we only saw how each of the brothers fared economically via their status but even then we never knew what their actual businesses were

@bold actually no. despite being shown as completely child like and non serious, Indu was the first in that generation to try and have a serious career.
Initially she started a marriage beuro kind of thing in partnership with Kesar, but that failed, later Chirag saw some potential in her and made her try in showbiz (he was a superstar himself so was easy to launch his niece). At that time his secretary Piku was starting with a production house and he got Indu audition for his show. Indu worked as the lead actress in that TV show and used to go for shoots.
Karishma and Harsh initially starred a fashion design company together, but that didn't go very well, then Indu asked her to accompany her to her shoots because the way Karishma managed everything including Ba, she would definitely do well in movie line. Indu then had Karishma meet Shantanu(I think that was the name) who had come as a guest director in her show and then she joined him as his assistant director
While they never explored the careers of women in that show, but it was actually refreshing that the girls of that family who didn't join family business actually had their share of struggles and eventually they excelled in some field
Shobha while she never had a career before marriage, she later joined Payal in her political career and became a renowned politician and probably also an MLA, not sure on the latter part though (she actually became in the show what Smriti would later become in real life)
Virani daughters actually had good careers but their bahus.. not until they were a part of Virani household. Nandani completely forgot her journalism post her marriage. Ganga worked in Virani industries for some days but like this was a household work just to help...
Only bahus who genuinely worked were Mohini and Priyanka both evil ones
