What is a good score here, was the question on everyone's mind. Past data suggested 150 odd, but never read too much into very old data as it could be irrelevant. In today's case it definitely was though because they had relaid the pitch in 2024 and it turned out to be good for batting. At the toss, SKY said he didn't mind losing the toss and batting first because that's one aspect his side has done well of late. He did say they expect dew with this Indian batting line-up always targets 20+ to factor in the dew effect when they bowl. Sanju promised in his short stay taking on Jamieson but a false shot sent him back. Ishan Kishan played a brilliant straight lofted drive on return to international cricket but Duffy outsmarted him with a slower ball. SKY walked in without runs behind him but played an outstanding back foot drive first ball. Abhishek at the other end had no second thoughts in his mind.
