Anupam Kher taken aback as son Sikandar Kher hits him twice in the playful video shared: 'Ulte haath ka mar…'

On Wednesday, actor Sikandar Kher shared an Instagram video of his father, Anupam Kher, who had recently had a tooth removed. In the video, Sikandar is seen playfully hitting his father on the cheek.

During their conversation, Anupam Kher mentioned that his cheek was numb after the tooth extraction. Sikandar then said a line about someone hitting their father with the back of their hand. As he mimed the action near Anupam's face, he asked, "Kya karne wala hai (What are you about to do)?"

As Sikandar prepared to hit him, Anupam responded with, "Zyada zor se laga na, ulte haath ka marunga, naak pe teri, naak tod dunga (If I get hurt badly, I'll slap you on your nose and break it)." In the video, Sikandar then playfully hit him, causing Anupam to clutch his face in mock shock. Sikandar then asked, "Kya karoge aap (What will you)?" and hit him again. Anupam then recited a line from one of his films, a nod to the late Dilip Kumar.

As Sikandar prepared to hit him again, Anupam turned away, saying, "Nahi nahi nahi beta (No no no son)." When Sikandar insisted, Anupam grabbed his hand and said, "Aisa nahi karate. Mat kar (You shouldn't do this. Don't do it)." Sikandar then gently brushed his cheek. When Sikandar mentioned posting the video, Anupam replied, "You're not going to post this. It's a personal thing between us."

Anupam and Sikandar then discussed Javed Akhtar. Anupam shared that Zoya Akhtar, Javed's daughter, had cast him in a film cameo, but the scene was cut. He also mentioned that he was initially chosen to play Mogambo in the 1987 film Mr. India, but Anil Kapoor and Boney Kapoor replaced him.

After some friendly banter, Sikandar concluded the video. Sharing the video, Anupam wrote, "For Javed Akhtar (uncle), Boney Kapoor, Amrish Puri (legend), Anil Kapoor, Shekhar Kapur (uncle) … enjoy #KherSaab after his tooth removal."
