Has anyone followed Star Plus's show Ishaani? According to my mother, the female protagonist became a sanyaasi, and the male protagonist too followed that path 😂.

He did make mistakes but I wouldn’t call it a lack of loyalty. Like most characters in the show, his character has multiple layers, and his arc evolves based on the series of events unfolding around him. From the beginning he was made to believe that his negligence was the reason his brother was taken away. Vish deliberately manipulated him and hid the truth, knowing that his profession would eventually give her access to Vik and the Saluja family’s wealth and that is exactly what happened. Throughout his childhood, he lived with immense guilt and when he finally met Vik, the burden only deepened because Vik remembered nothing. His pain eased only when Mannat made him confront the truth about his mother. Until Karwa Chauth, he had clear intentions to reveal the truth at the right time without ruining the Manvik relationship. That’s why he approached Ronnie to clear Vik’s MU. He has spent his entire life burdened with guilt naturally wants to escape that pain. In doing so, he ignored some of his mother’s actions. To protect her identity, he got ARS out of jail, something Mannat later confronted him. His mother manipulated him to the core and exploited his life as well. Yes, he made mistakes but it’s wrong to say he didn’t care for Vik. He witnessed Vik’s panic attack on his birthday just at the mention of Aman’s name. Later, Mannat asking for time and Rotu agreeing to tell Vik the truth triggered a chain of events that changed his perspective. He came searching for Aman but found Vik someone living a blessed life that he didn’t want to disrupt after learning the truth about his mother. Unfortunately, the truth surfaced in the most brutal way. His mother created a wall between the brothers and planted seeds of doubt in Vik’s mind. During his time at SM he also realised Vik’s anger issues and panic attacks which played important role. Vish’s manipulation led to one incident after another and Aat that point, he chose silence not out of selfishness but to protect the Manvik relationship while helping Mannat gather proof of her innocence. Since Vik had already rejected him and stopped communicating, Vish again twisted the narrative and convinced Vik that everything DK did was for Mannat, which further triggered Vik. DK tried multiple times to explain things logically, with reasoning and proof but Vik refused to listen. When Neetu went to jail, DK assured Mannat that he would speak to Vik. But the same day, Shruti passed away. At the funeral, he held his mother back so that Manvik could talk and resolve their differences. Yet, due to another manipulation by Vish, the brothers ended up fighting again, burying whatever emotions were left. Post leap, we saw DK still getting emotional about Vik. If Vik could throw his parents and Mannat out despite such strong relationships then who is DK to him? The least DK could do was stand by the people who were shattered and help them through their darkest phase especially when he knew how Vish had destroyed their lives. DK didn’t leave Vik it was Vik who didn’t accepted him. He is a flawed character but one who still stands his ground unlike many others. The writers are clearly preserving important arcs for him, which will unfold soon. Let’s see how his journey shapes up in the upcoming episodes.
Well written, I wanted Mannat to move away from all the toxicity and she took the right decision so Excluding Mannat
The question is who put Vikrant in this position? I haven't seen any guilt for what all DK did in the pretext of "I believed what my mom said" .
Not like his scenes are not being shown to us in abundance since pre-leap
, so where are the scenes of him feeling guilty for living Vikrant's life all these years ?.
My question has always been the same , DK knows Vish's manipulations and tricks , so how is he not sympathetic to his brother and took over his brother's life, living happily , promising Mannat Vikrant will never take Dua from her? Good he is sympathetic to Mannat, what about his own brother? He knows his mother would continue to manipulate Vikrant & make his life hell since she did exactly that with him , Where is the shame, where is the guilt for ruining Vikrant's life?
Hope I am making sense
Adding to what Daman has said...
Most of us form our memories from when we are 7-8 years old... we dont usually remember anything before that unless its a trauma...
DK must have spent around 1-2 years with Vik whereas he has spent more time with Dua and RoTu have more time spent with Vik...
Its natural that DK Vik bond will not be as warm as one would expect between brothers. Vish must have told him stories to keep the bond alive but she cant contribute more than the 5-6 years Aman was with them.
DK having more attachment to Dua is logical considering he was a responsible adult and she a baby at that point and vice versa for Dua.

Is this a symbolic post after the latest BTS or is this a real question
If real, nope one show is enough torture

Reading the discussion pertaining to the BC...in the eyes of law...Mannat is an unwed mother.
All legal documents carry parents name. When the divorce papers were sent Mannat was told that it is to ensure she doesn't make a claim to Vikrant s property. Mannat has to let the space be empty till someone starts ridiculing Dua of being an immaculate conception or solve it by putting the DCPs name. Remember it was still in the first 2 of the 7 years.
When achool admission, passport application is made for minor child you need to provide evidence .
I was reminded of a line from The movie PAA. Vidya Balan snaps at Abhishek Bachchan that just because you contributed the sperm you dont become a dad.you need to be invested in the child, bond with her show empathy and care.
Assuming that Vikrant has concluded DCP to he the dad , it makes Dua his niece yet not even .0001 percent of the compassion and indulgence he shows to Yuvi (misplaced sympathy in my view) was shown to her by Vikrant.
Someone compared Malla not putting a fathers name on Ys birth certificate.... remember he is a stolen baby and though she claims to be the mom does not care or know anything about Yuvi. He was saying nasty things about Duas parents and when Y called Mannat all kinds of things stood silent as though grateful she uttered what he thought.
It is necessary for Vikrant to change from AMAN KUMAR to Vikrant. Mere offering langar in memory of Shruthi does not make him a noble soul when he has usurped the Saluja wealth and left Rotu to fend for themselves on the streets while busily doing charity to police colony and otherson Yuvis birthday. Unless he distances himself from the 5 leeches his karma score will be negative
Bold: so,so,so true. Like it or not Dhairya has done that, so Dua will always have a special place in her heart for him.
As per Vikrant’s thinking she is ManRya’s daughter. That means his niece. Any affection for her? No.
He has charity to random strangers (inmates of SM) & police colony but where was his conscience when even Gagan begged?

He might not even need a lawyer to present his case
Unless Mukta gives a clear-cut court drama unlike previous court fiascos, Vikrant can’t show his talent of vakaalat
.

People expect right and wrong sense from a 6 year old, side characters, female lead but not much from male lead. It gets brushed off as we know him, he is manipulated, this and that. How long? Not once he was shown worried about Neetu when he saw his family turning up. He only remembers Mannat's bitter words to him, tell me, does he remember he slept with her and still left her at the altar? Does he even understand how damaging this is for a girl? Did they once show him pondering over this?
I'm sure Mannat, DK, Ronnie all 3 will get their karma for their lies. Dua might drag them, court will take actions, Vikrant might destroy them again, valid. Especially Mannat will suffer the most as she is the biggest enabler somehow and I trust that she will sustain it all. Unlike gaslighting, she will take it on herself but all she will worry for her child. Anyone here can give gurantee on Vikrant's behalf that he will be able to take care of his own kid? Is he capable enough to do that? I can see Mannat fighting the most during custody given Vikrant has kept some pathetic people around him. Each one of them have attacked Mannat, so her fighting back will be truly justified for her child's safety.
The major flaw of Vikrant is, lack of introspection. He is saying mere paas kuch bhi nahi hai. "Kyu?" Why you dont have it? Why he never thinks that way? According to him, he cut off all the wrong people and surrounded himself with the people who are good to him, then why he still whines? This is where he should introspect like any normal human being, but instead of that, he chooses to gaslight others. There is no point of owning your flaws repeatedly if you dont work upon it.
Bold: i am going to say this for which i might get beaten up.
If the ML is handsome and acts well, his character is invariably really given a helluva lot of leeway.
Which makes me even more supportive of the much abused FL.

Lol but he picked Mannat and gang over his brother very quickly infact in a matter of hours naa pre-leap though he lived with his brother for years (guessing by the size of the kid Vikrant in FB, he was the same age as Dua is now?)
He even left the mother of years with whom he was planning to leave the city for Vikrant's sake even after he found out the crimes she did ?
Chao have to go do some real life work now
