With Vvan it's going to be the same or worse; at the moment it will release a year late and there are still more and more delays to come because that's what they've been doing with their movies and that's no longer a coincidence, we fans have seen it for a long time.

Vicky is a star because of Uri. His movies with Dharma he either wasn’t the lead and the focus, or they flopped badly.

I’m not disagreeing with you about the nature of KJo or Bollywood. But I don’t think Sid or anyone else in his position can afford to fight big names in the industry publicly. Otherwise you become Kangana, or Taapsee Panu. Whatever happened to her career?

After Dunki she had two other movies in 2024 and is currently filming a thriller... and has two other movies... so, she still has work as a leading lady

Oh wow! Never even heard of those other movies or was aware of them.

Taapsee isn't really a 'mainstream'-actress (even Dunki wasn't a clear mainstream-movie)... the thriller now got written by Kanika Dhillon who also produces the movie (she is one of those who worked in RedChillies getting encouraged to start a career of her own - just one of the many for whom RCE was the prolific start into an independent career, actively encouraged by SRK)... she also is responsible for Kriti's movie Do Patti...

I disagree that Dunki wasn’t a mainstream movie. A Raju Hirani and SRK combo is very much a mainstream movie, one that just happened to flop. Taapsee also did Judwaa 2 which was also mainstream. Neither movie did anything to catapult her career for various reasons. So she put her focus back on where her strength was sort of speak, small films with strong female characters. Nothing wrong with that, but one has to wonder how her movie choices would have been different had she gotten a lot of attention past Judwaa2’s success or had Dunki been a big hit.

She got a filmfare best popular lead actress award one year. But it was 2021 during covid
