People blaming haroon rashid for what Ar Rahman said? Seriously come on, Ar Rahman immediately agreed with calling chavva devisive, he immediately called the portrayal of muslims in such films as 'cliche', that shows that these are his thoughts. AR Rahman could have disagreed, but he didnt, he is a full grown man with his own thoughts, ar Rahman knows the current climate and how people would react to such statements, Yet he still said it.

Haroon did not trick him and did not put any words in his mouth, haroon was simply asking challenging questions in a direct way, its what journalists do or atleast should do, then its upto Ar Rahman on how he answers them. He could have even said 'no comment' but he didnt. AR Rahman is not a naive child, he's been in the industry for decades, given 100s of interviews to many international journalists, whatever he said in this interview was completely his own choice.

The statement he made about not getting much work in bollywood, that again is his own statement, ar Rahman didn't show any anger or even frustration at any of the questions, it seemed to me that he was openly speaking his true opinions and feelings

If showing a heavily watered down version of the atrocities committed by Mughals or people of certain community is considered divisive then i would any day take the divisive reality over a fake victim propaganda.

'Brahmin' School? I have seen Christian Missionary schools, been a student there myself, and Muslim Madarasas....Where the heck do we find these 'Brahmin' schools in India which 'teach' Ramayan and Mahabharata no less? And wasnt he a Hindu himself during his schooling days? Why is AR Rahman choosing lies and controversy at this stage of his career? Is he really that desperate for work?

It's not a Brahmin school, that is, it doesn't exclusively cater to the Brahmin community alone but yes, the school is run by Brahmins and they do teach Mahabharata and Ramayana, not just that, but also shlokas and value education.

He didn't comment on work environment

He said the movie was divisive but I don’t care about that statement, if he believed Chhaava was divisive, he is entitled to that opinion and it doesn't matter to me

What his statement reflects is that he is a grifter, for money he works in a divisive movie and then, for sympathy in front a Pakistani, he tells his international audience that "one of the most successful Indians ever" doesn't get work because of communal hatred

Above reply is for someone who quoted me but I am not able to tag or quote them, I wonder why they quoted me 😭😭 Now, I look like a fool who is talking to herself

I know there was a time in India Rahman could have told his thoughts without getting this kind of reaction... and I'm happy that this time existed smiley27

An artist having given so much reflecting Indian culture and live-feelings around the world and to the domestic art being treated as an enemy of this culture is a big big low to what this culture stands for... and all that because of politics and power systems...

Honestly, everyone should introspect of what he/she r e a l l y is...- a puppet to politics or a true Indian human being...

Shame on this bigot and honestly, not the least bit surprised. This is the true face of their community, the very basis of which hatred and antagonism towards "others" .

Let no one forget this.

Let everyone also remember the true face of the snakes supporting him as well.
