Didn’t watch anuapama from the beginning. When I started watching it, anuj used to be upset at anu giving time and priority to Shah’s and her adult children. Then Maya came and Anuj behaved badly with anupama. So I used to feel bad for anupama as I didn’t see the beginning of the show. Shah’s baa and that father looked decent for me at the time as baa was nice to anupama 😭 Now I know how bad that baa is and her disgusting children too. They are all so 😒🤢

Anuj used to be good guy. Main lead ko mahaan , sab ki maa, 'mahadev' dikhana tha so they trashed all positive characters. He never clearly stated his boundaries, jald baazi ki adoption mein (my opinion), but he supported her. His anger was justified to a point. But then anybody would behave badly if they see their wife unduly attached to her abusive sasural / maika, without giving a damn about the child she consented to adopt. Uske baad uska bhi character trash hogaya.

Bapuji is the biggest enabler of Baa's gundi gardi. Woh kehte hain, gunegaar se zyada uski gunah ki saath dene waale ko punish karna chahiye. Bapuji is to be blamed because he never supported anyone, be it Anupamaa, Kinjal or anyone. Isko pehle chadana chahiye faasi pe.
