Oh I absolutely forgot… the choice of songs for Mihir Tulsi was so well done.

Mihir’s song - Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna - speaks of longing for someone, speaks of pining for someone and wonders how can one survive without that one person they’re so deeply in love with that they can’t live without them, can’t even imagine life without them.

Tulsi’s song - Naina Thug Lenge. Noina is the Bengali version of Naina, as Bengalis use O instead of A for reasons that I don’t know. Tulsi literally invokes the name of the woman between them with that song to taunt Mihir subtly in response. The song works brilliantly here because not only because it invokes the name of the one between them - the one she thinks Mihir has chosen over her, reminding him that others may buy into the idea that the song he sang was meant for her, but not her. For her, the reality is different.

The song is also about deception… it speaks of our eyes deceiving us. Noina has deceived everyone including herself into thinking that she can have a future with Mihir.

Tulsi sings the lines - Jagte jadoo phoonkenge - in the context of the song these words refer to eyes being capable of mesmerising someone. In the context of this scene - the words can also be quite literally translated as - casting a spell on the world - Noina’s spell has been cast over Tulsi’s world - her husband and marriage.

That’s why you see Mihir’s face going sober and sorta closing off and in pain. He is reminded of the obvious…

Simply brilliant.

I know it’s popular, it’s one of my favourites too. The usage over here though had more to do with the suitability of the song that fits the show’s narrative than just popularity or the need to add a song sequence that kills time for the completing the required run time of the episode as mandated by the channel.

The Antakshari sequence also helped take the narrative forward because we see how Baapji notices his granddaughter seems to like Dev. His song - Yashomati Maiyya Se - was picked to give the impression that he’s from a sanskaari family and is himself quite well raised. We know he’s a Chapri. At this point I think Parth will end up becoming a scapegoat and marrying some girl Dev either gets knocked up or almost married too but then chickens out at the last minute so that the girl in question is not ruined.

The editing was a bit choppy for Pari’s song or maybe the cameraman didn’t capture her properly, idk, her song was - Lag Jaa Gale. A song about being scared of having only a limited amount of time with someone you love, someone you don’t want to lose and whom you’ve missed so badly. Someone you want to hug tightly so as to weep to your heart’s content while holding them. Again a very good pick for Pari’s situation. We know she finally values her mom enough and wants to cry and never let go of her. We know she’s also thinking she has only so much time with her as Tulsi has only agreed to this charade of a few days to save SN but she’s given no indication whatsoever of forgiving Mihir, coming back home for good.

All the song choices for the Viranis were good but the finale stole the show. Both Smriti and Amar sang really well. I was pleasantly surprised by his rendition too, very difficult to pull off a Kishore Kumar song, but he really did it well. He has a surprisingly rich voice for a singer.

Why should Parth only be a scapegoat? Viranis have so many other sons too..
I want Parth to have a proper love story like his parents Karan and Nandini..

Its really good they got amar back.The flashbacks actually look like they are a young couple who grew with time.

Plus they actually have a chemistry and i love their banter.

After his return to TV post his failed movie career he mostly got shows where he was paired with girls who were barely teenagers or looked like they just got eligible to vote. Basically girls that he had at least a decade on for good if not more.

Here he’s with Smriti again and we see these flashbacks serving a good deal. It’s also after BALH starring Ram Saakshi that we got another couple in the mature age category to be leads of a show. Call it a strange coincidence but Kyunki returned back to TV on its original slot. BALH was also aired on this very slot on Sony all those years ago.

As per time line arent angad and hrithik atleast 10-15 years elder to parth

Isnt angad around 35 and hrithik may be 30s and parth only 21 or so

pari must be around 29-30 as 5 year old kid
